According to the American Automobile Association, approximately 39.7 million motorists will hit the road during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, a 12 percent increase from 2009. To help keep Kentucky’s roads safe, the Kentucky State Police will be boosting its road patrols and operating safety checkpoints throughout the Commonwealth beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24 and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 28. Coordinating enforcement efforts with local police and sheriff’s offices, KSP troopers and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers will cast a vast safety net designed to save lives.

On November 16, 2010 at approximately 12:10 pm Detectives from Campbellsville Police Department responded to a possible fire at 201 East Walnut in Campbellsville. Upon arrival Det. Brain Morgan and Det. Bart Gillpin, discovered a methamphetamine lab. Kentucky State Police West Drug Enforcement was contacted to assist with the removal of the waste from the methamphetamine lab. Jimmy James Tungate, age 25, and Echo Nichole Powell, age 21, were arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine.

Lenneth Bartley
(1935 – 2010)
Lenneth Bartley of Greensburg, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Edgar Martin Bartley and Mary Ethel Strode Bartley, was born in Monroe County, Kentucky, June 16, 1935. He died at 7:25 A.M., Tuesday, November 16, 2010, in Charlestown, Indiana. Age: 75
He was a retired employee of Campbellsville University.
He is survived by one daughter, Mary Louise Milby and husband, Len of Greensburg; two granddaughters: Heather Milby of Greensburg and Ashley Milby of Summersville; several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Kenneth Bartley, Leonard Bartley, and Erline Curtis.
