Ansel Newton of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late John Henry Newton and Bessie Irene Colvin Newton, was born April 22, 1931, in Marion County, Kentucky. He died at 5:20 P.M., Thursday, November 12, 2009 in Louisville. Age: 78
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He had been employed as a machine operator at Brown amp; Williamson Tobacco Company.
He united in marriage to Lucille Cox Herron January 31, 1986.
Besides his wife, Lucille Newton of Louisville he is survived by three sons and two daughters: John Newton, Bobby Newton, Buster Newton and wife, Gina Newton, Susie Neace and husband, Earl and Carolyn Porter and husband, Paul of Louisville; step-children: Barbara Price and husband, Donnie of Cave City, Debbie Thomas and husband, Mike and Terry Cawthorn and wife, Donna of Brandenburg, Pam Hazelwood and husband, Larrie and Barry Cawthorn and wife, Diane of Louisville and Gary Cawthorn of Ashville, North Carolina; thirty-four grandchildren; sixty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers and one sister: Lonzie Newton and wife, Dorothy of Campbellsville, John Dallas Newton and wife, Hazel of Shepherdsville, William Newton and wife, Jane of Redfield, South Dakota and Shirley Hiestand of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Henry Newton and Ruth VanArsdale.

Judy Scott Levels, 62, Milwaukee, Wisconsin formerly of Campbellsville, died Saturday, September 12, 2009, at her residence.
She was a graduate of Greensburg High School.
She was the daughter of the late George Scott and Rena White Scott.
Cremation was chosen.
Memorial Services will be at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel, 11 AM, Saturday, November 14, 2009.
Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.

Ruth Winifred Cloyd Badgett of Campbellsville, daughter of James Coakley Cloyd and Frances Weaver Cloyd, was born October 19, 1913, in Clay County, Kentucky. She died at 3:25 P.M., Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 96
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church demonstrating untiring, unselfish dedication, sharing her joy teaching children and adults. After retirement, sheservedin the international missions.
She was a retired school teacher with the Taylor County School System.
She united in marriage to Dr. J. Chester Badgett September 15, 1936.
Besides her husband, Dr. J. Chester Badgett of Campbellsville, she is survived by two sons and one daughter: Joseph Chester ldquo;Tonyrdquo; Badgett Jr. and wife, Priscilla and Ruth Ann Shaw and husband, Robert Seymour ldquo;Bobrdquo; of Frankfort and Dr. James Thomas Badgett and wife, Rachel of Louisville; five grandchildren: Dr. Joseph Russell Shaw and wife, Caroline of Bloomington, Indiana, Jason Robert Shaw and wife, Rachel of Frankfort, Jill Michelle Badgett of Lexington, Julie Danielle Badgett of Richmond and Dr. James Thomas Curry Badgett and wife, Jeanne of Kensington, Maryland; seven great-grandchildren: Ian Shaw and Emma Shaw of Bloomington, Indiana, Merritt Shaw and Sawyier Shaw of Frankfort, Kentucky, Elizabeth ldquo;Beppyrdquo; Badgett, Eleanor Ruth Badgett and Lois Curry Badgett of Kensington, Maryland; a sister, Lucy Lois Smith of Fredericksburg, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Mary Jo Chaddic, Patricia Carter, Dorothea Tucker and James Coakley Cloyd II.
