Lena May Phillips of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of Rufus S. Shreve and Pearl May Shreve, was born February 28, 1931, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Saturday, October 10, 2009 in Louisville. Age: 78
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Old Oakdale United Methodist Church, (now Gateway Community United Methodist Church).
She was a retired schoolteacher with the Jefferson County Public School System.
She united in marriage to William Doug Phillips. He preceded her in death August 17, 2006.
She is survived by one son, Martin ldquo;Martyrdquo; Phillips of Louisville; three grandchildren: Brandy Phillips, Sean Phillips and Ashley Adcock Ryan of Louisville; two great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Frances Bright of Campbellsville and Rollin Shreve of Florida; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Adcock and three brothers: Frank E. Shreve, J. Millard Shreve and Henry Shreve.

Carolyn Sapp of Campbellsville, daughter of Oliver Wise and Myrtle Phillips Wise, was born March 20, 1941, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 13, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 68
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Elk Horn Baptist Church.
She was a member of the Emmaus Community.
She was a noted bookkeeper in Campbellsville for many years.
She united in marriage to Manuel Sapp January 31, 1959.
Besides her husband, Manuel Sapp of Campbellsville, she is survived by one son and one daughter and their spouses: Stacey and Jerry Arnett of Greensburg and Dwight and Kim Sapp of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren: Ben Thompson and Clarice Gregory and Angela Waldrep and husband, Blair of Campbellsville, Ashley Williamson and husband, Junior of Liberty and Kaley Sapp of Elizabethtown; five great-grandchildren: Riley Thompson, Zachary Smith, Zander Smith, Brooklyn Williamson and Jaxon Thompson; one half-brother, James Wolford Stephens of Brownsburg, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Nelle Vaughn of Campbellsville, daughter of the late C. V. Bryan and Beulah Wilkerson Bryan, was born May 25, 1927, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:55 A.M., Monday, October 12, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 82
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She had been employed as an art teacher and home decorator.
She is survived byfour sons andone daughter: Charles Vaughn and wife, Karen, Greg Vaughn and wife, Patty and Karen Hayes and husband, Bobby of Campbellsville, Denny Vaughn of Memphis, Tennessee and John Vaughn and wife, June of Glasgow; nine grandchildren: Bryan Vaughn, Amy Decker, Brandon Vaughn, Nicholas Vaughn, Morgan Vaughn, John Paul Vaughn, Josh Hayes, Jordan Hayes and Jade Hayes; four great-grandchildren: Will Vaughn, Chloe Decker, Brianna Hayes and Jacob Hayes; two sisters: Virginia Coffey of Louisville and Betty Larimore of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Charles Bryan March 16, 1945 and Mary Anne Carter May 8, 2004.
