Lois Daffron

Lois Daffron of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Curtis Lee Nunn and Carrie Pearl Anderson Nunn, was born June 2, 1940 in Green County, Kentucky.  She died at 5:05 A.M., Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in Columbia.    Age:  83

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.

Lois was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Lois also enjoyed fishing. She never met a stranger and she took in anyone and everyone, becoming a stand-in mom whenever needed.  There was always room at the table and plenty to eat, as cooking for family and friends was her love language. She saw the best in everyone.  If you needed it, she’d find a way to get it.  Lois loved the Lord and her family fiercely and she had a hotline to The Lord, Himself.  Her prayers moved mountains and covered her whole family.  The stories of her unconditional love, kindness and unselfishness will last forever.  She is, certainly, resting in the arms of Our Lord.

She united in marriage to Tommy Daffron October 8, 1957 and he preceded her in death July 28, 2014.

Lois is survived by one son and two daughters:  Terry Daffron and wife, Shari of Elk Horn and Carol Elmore and husband, Mike and Lee Ann Muncie and husband, Jeff of Campbellsville;

five grandchildren:  Jessica Browning and husband, Jamie and Vanessa Smith and husband, Jason of Campbellsville, Tessa Collins of Louisville, Torri Daffron and Jeffery Muncie and wife, Lindsey of Campbellsville; seven great-grandchildren: Adrian Browning, Brianna Browning, Sophie Smith, Emi Smith, Marlee Smith, Ava Muncie and Cale Muncie; special friend, Charlie Shields; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Lois was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister:   Bobby Nunn, Harold Nunn, Leon Nunn, Larry Nunn and Norma Jean Rogers.

The family would like to thank Jennifer Thompson of Hosparus Health of Green River and the personnel and staff of Signature Health Summit Manor for the excellent care she received.
