Audrey Joan Blackbird

Audrey J. Blackbird, Slate Creek Road, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.

She was the daughter of the late, Frank and Shirley Elmer, she was also preceded in death by her husband, July 22, 2009 and her daughter, Faith Marie Blackbird on February 1, 1010.

She is survived by one son, Richard L. Blackbird, Jr. of Cape Vincent , New York and one daughter and son-in-law, Renee and James Walker of Warrenburg, New York, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, one sister, Frances K. Elmer of Bradenton, Florida.

The family chose cremation with memorial services at a later date.

Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Attorney General Conway Warns Against Price-Gouging in Wake of Recent Severe Thunderstorms, Flash Flooding

for the Commonwealth of Kentucky on Tuesday, July 21, 2010 after severe thunderstorms and deadly flash flooding in a number of Kentucky counties on July 17 and 20th. Gov. Beshear also signed an executive order to implement Kentucky’s price-gouging laws statewide.

“Gov. Beshear and I both want to ensure that Kentuckians who are suffering as a result of these deadly storms are not victimized a second time by unscrupulous businesses,” General Conway said. “I will investigate and prosecute those who seek excessive profits during times of emergency.”

Man arrested for pulling a gun on another person

On Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at approximately 2:14 PM Campbellsville Police responded to Green River Plaza near Taylor County Bank. There was a report of a man with a gun pulled on another person in a vehicle in the parking lot.

It was reported that Ben Begley of Campbellsville allegedly pointed a gun at Ricky Burton of Campbellsville.

Begley was arrested and charged with Robbery & Wanton Endangerment. Begley was lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center.
