Juveniles Struck by Vehicle

(Columbia, KY) – On Saturday, June 5 at approximately 6:38 CST units from KSP Post 15, Columbia, responded to a residence at 1755 McClendon Ridge Road in Russell County.  36-year-old Jennifer Hardin of Russell Springs had arrived at the residence to pick up her son following a birthday party.  As she was leaving, she turned her vehicle around in an adjacent yard and struck two juveniles that were playing in the yard.  Both juveniles were transported by Russell County EMS to the Russell County Hospital.  4-year-old Lilla Brizendine was pronounced dead at the Russell County Hospital and 8-year-old Gabrielle York was airlifted to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville.  The investigation is continuing and updates will be released as more information is obtained.  Tpr. Kids Outdoor Day Rescheduled

Kids Outdoor Day has been rescheduled to September 25th, the original date was June 5th.  We had to move the date due to the flooding at the lake.
