Lori Stevenson passed peacefully at 1:50 P.M. on November 7, 2023.  Cremation rites will be accorded, per her wishes.  Lori was very passionate about her love of dogs and animals. Survivors include her husband, sister and two nieces. The family is grateful to Hosparus Health Green River and the nurses at Norton Pavilion Hospice unit for their caring of Lori. “

Lilly Osborne

Lilly Osborne of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Julian Pot and Marjorie Mills Pot, was born August 20, 1933 in Chesterland, Ohio.  She died at 6:10 P.M., Monday, November 6, 2023 in Campbellsville.   Age:  90

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bible Baptist Tabernacle.

Lilly united in marriage to Harley Wade Osborne November 15, 1953 and he preceded her in death January 9, 2013.

She is survived by one son, Mike Osborne and wife, Lisa of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren: John Osborne, Toccara Underwood, Brandon Osborne, Nic Osborne; five great-grandchildren: three great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Connie Wilson and husband, Danny of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Lilly was also preceded in death by a son, Harley J. Osborne and four sisters:  Rosie Thomas, Flora Colman, Violet Schaffer, and Judy Lett.

Melvin Wayne Skaggs, 71

Melvin Wayne Skaggs, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Hartley Skaggs and Bertie White Skaggs, was born January 7, 1952, in Greensburg, KY, and departed this life on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was 71 years of age.

Melvin professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Roberts Baptist Church. He was a woodworker by trade and enjoyed guns, and warplanes, and loved history. Melvin had also served his country in the United States Army Reserves.

He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Skaggs, having united in marriage on October 5, 1973, and recently celebrated fifty wonderful years together.

He is also survived by two daughters: Shannon Graham and husband Mike of Campbellsville, and Emily Hatfield and husband Ryan of Virginia Beach, VA.

Six grandchildren: Abigayle Graham, Shelby Graham, Silas Hatfield, Neva Hatfield, Julie Hatfield, and Mattie Hatfield.

Also, two brothers and one sister: George Skaggs and wife Wanda of Greensburg, Jerry Skaggs of Campbellsville, and Sharry Daniel and husband James of North Carolina. One sister-in-law: Beverley Skaggs of Campbellsville along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: James “Jimmy” Skaggs.

The funeral service for Melvin Wayne Skaggs will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home 1765 New Columbia Road Campbellsville, KY with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery in Gabe.

Bro. John Stilts will officiate.

The family has requested visitation from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 6, 2023, at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home.

 

 Memorials are suggested to be donations to Operation Christmas Child and can be made at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers: Ryan Hatfield, Mike Graham, Silas Hatfield, Joey Houk, Robbie Price, and James Daniel.
