Melissa Dawn Karnes-Walls

Melissa Dawn Karnes-Walls, 47, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of Judy Beckley Karnes and the late Clemmie Karnes was born June 4th, 1976, in Indianapolis, IN, and departed this life on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg after an extended illness.
She professed faith in Christ and was of Baptist faith. She was a mother hen to her many non-biological children and loved being a homemaker. Melissa enjoyed shopping and talking, she never met a stranger.

Besides her mother, Melissa is survived by:
Two daughters: Kayla Newton and Brooklyn Newton, both of Campbellsville
Two grandchildren: Ava Hoskins and Nova Hoskins, both of Campbellsville
Two sisters and two brothers: Kristy Young and Dusty Cox of Campbellsville; Jamie Terrell and her husband, Jamie, of Gravel Switch, Clemmie Beckley of Campbellsville, and Todd Beckley and his wife, Chrystal, of Campbellsville
Several nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends

VISITATION: Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
FUNERAL: Thursday, September 7th, 2023, at 11:00 am EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville. Bro. Don Gowin will be officiating with burial to follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS: Stephen Thomas, Ronnie Beckley, Justin Parish, Nick Mann, Zack Terrell, Chris Cooke, Chad Smith, and Terry Thomas

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Jody Allen, Weston Beckley, Derrick Beckley, Justin Young, Autumn Beckley, Kamber Beckley, Kamry Parish, and Kelsey Murphy

Larry Graybeal

Larry Graybeal of Campbellsville, son of the late Milton Spencer Graybeal and Erie Amazon Ball Graybeal, was born May 23, 1952 in Ohio. He died at 10:27 P.M., Friday, September 1, 2023 in Louisville. Age:  71

He was a retired HVAC employee with Pickett’s Heating and Cooling. Larry professed faith in Christ and was a member of East Campbellsville Church of God. He was known by his family as the hardest worker you could ever meet, but most importantly, he was the greatest dad a son could ever ask for. He united in marriage to Rita Dupps Graybeal May 4, 1973 and she preceded him in death September 1, 2005. Larry is survived by one son, Chris “Spike” Graybeal and wife, Kristie of Campbellsville;  three grandchildren: Devin Graybeal of Campbellsville, Sierra Westmoreland and husband, Dakota of Greensburg, and Wyatt Houk of Columbia; two sisters: Shirley Sturtivan and husband, Cliff, and Sue Bright of Campbellsville; one brother, Bearl Graybeal of Corbin; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Larry was also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers: Helen Thomas, Aileen Huff, Christine Sprouse, Jack Graybeal, Millard Junior Graybeal, and Roger Dale Graybeal and Milton Graybeal in infancy.

Renee Sylvester, 58

             Renee Sylvester, of Knifley, the daughter of Cathleen (Estrella) Sylvester of Florida and the late Donald Sylvester, was born February 15, 1965 in Orange, New Jersey and departed this life on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at her home. She was 58 years of age.

          She was a homemaker and of the Christian Faith.

Renee enjoyed cooking, painting and other artistic crafts and spending time with family.

Besides her mother, she is survived by three sons: Garrett Sylvester and wife Emma of Monticello, Richard Burress and wife Erika of Campbellsville and Chaz Burress and wife Brandy of Columbia; her companion of thirty seven years: Doug Burress of Knifley.

Also a sister: Donna Listort of Florida; five grandchildren: Ethan and Alyssa Sylvester and Harper, Hayden and Miles Burress and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a sister: Tina Sylvester.

Services will be held privately.

 There will be no visitation

 L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville in charge of arrangements.
