Juliet Kirtley of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charles Horace Graves, Jr. and Mary Frances Calhoun Graves, was born November 24, 1936 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 1:40 P.M., Thursday, December 7, 2023 in Campbellsville. Age: 87
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Juliet loved singing in the church choir and was a praying woman.
She was a retired housekeeper and caregiver.
She enjoyed playing rook, watching sports and was a big UK fan. Everybody loved Juliet. She was also a strong willed and friendly person and always had a smile on her face.
Juliet is survived by five daughters and one son: Deborah Smith and husband, Michael, Beverly Kirtley, Shirley Kirtley, Sheryl Kirtley and Lisa Kirtley of Campbellsville and Daryl Kirtley of Paducah; four brothers and one sister: Charles Edward Graves of Johns Creek, Georgia, Tommy Graves of Louisville, David Graves of Louisville, Johnny Graves of Palmdale, California and Margaret Ann Spalding of Louisville; special friend, Mildred Barnett; her caregiver, Rona Wiser; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Juliet was also preceded in death by one brother and four sisters: Joseph Graves, Sister Mary Dionysia Graves, Jane Pryor, Dorothy Thompson and Regina Taylor.

Mr. Joseph Larry Wright of Campbellsville, KY formerly of Columbus, IN, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, December 9, 2023, in the comfort of his home. Born in Chicago, IL on February 7, 1949, to Mary Edna (Burton) and Joseph Hiram Wright. The day after his birth, he went to stay with his grandparents in Columbia, KY. They were Eunice Ollie (Coffey) and Owen Elmer Burton whom he lived with the first five years of his life and their daughters. His aunts took him in as if he was their little brother taking him everywhere, even show and tell at school.
His grandmother instilled love, patience, caring, and compassion.
Mr. Wright was a Christian man.. attending church as often as he could.
After high school, Mr. Wright was drafted into the US Army, where he served two years. After returning home on May 29, 1971
he married the love of his life, Margaret Aleen Cummins.
Mr. Wright proceeds in death by his parents, grandparents, and aunt.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Margaret Aleen (Cummins) Wright. Two children: Tiffany Michele (Shawn Michael) Wilson and Darren Wade (Crystal) Wright, 3 grandchildren Reilly, Miya, and Brady, one sister: Roxanne Smallwood and husband Darrell of Russell Springs, and two great aunts, and several cousins.
Mr. Wright’s ashes will be placed in the Garland Brook Cemetery in the mausoleum of his hometown of Columbus, Indiana at a later date.

Mrs. Mary Alice Layer of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Chester and Nora (Vaughn) James, passed from this life on December 10, 2023 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center after an extended illness. Born in Hiseville, KY on September 21, 1945, she was 78 years of age. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
Five children: Jody Thompson and husband Randy, Eric Jessie, Aubry Jessie, Rhonda Henderson, and Wally Jessie,
Two sisters: Leon Walkup and Joann Todd,
Twelve grandchildren,
And a host of other family members and friends.
The family chose cremation. All services were held privately.
