Vanessa Leigh Vale

Vanessa Leigh Vale of Campbellsville, daughter of Jason Vale and Rhonda Caulk Vale, was born May 5, 1998 in Heidelberg, Germany.  She died Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Campbellsville.          Age: 24

She had professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith.

Vanessa was kind and compassionate; very intelligent, was very friendly and could be rather quirky.  She loved her therapeutic rehabilitation group at Adanta.

She is survived by her parents, Jason and Rhonda Caulk Vale of Buffalo; one sister, Lacy May  and one brother, Justin Vale of Campbellsville; her grandparents: Paul and Phyllis Caulk of Campbellsville and Terry and Joni Vale of Cross Plains, Tennessee; three aunts: Jennifer Caulk Glass of Campbellsville, Suzanne (Mark) Burch of Cross Plains, Tennessee and April White of Bowling Green; four cousins: Shelby Cash Reid (Zachary) of Campbellsville, Rachel White of Washington state, and Sierra White and Allen Caulk of Louisville; special friends, the Therapeutic Rehabilitation Group at Adanta; her fur babies: Riley Jane (known as Bear) and Cooper; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her cousin, Sarah Glass, July 23, 2009.

Melvin “Shorty” Kimble Hall

Mr. Melvin “Shorty” Kimble Hall of Campbellsville, age 73, passed from this life on Friday, February 17, 2023 at his home. Son of the late Herman Hall and Connie Nelson Hall, he was born in Green County on May 5, 1949. He was self-employed, owning and operating “The Ol’ Mule Concessions” and was also a distributor of Hyland Brand dog foods.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

His wife: Wanda Jane Price Hall of Campbellsville

Four daughters and three sons: Kim Hagan and husband Matt of Green County, Shannon Cook and husband Brian of Green County, Junior Beams of Summersville, Tammi Miller and husband Chris of Bowling Green, Tim Beams and wife Eda of Idaho, Tommy Beams and wife Shelly of Campbellsville, and Jemima Beams of Campbellsville.

A sister: Shirley Pierce and husband Kenny of Green County.

16 Grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.

   There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Melvin “Shorty” Kimble Hall on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY.

   The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 23, 2023 after 1:00 PM until time for the service.

Interment will be in the Taylor’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, family request donations to the funeral expense fund and those may be made at the funeral home

Mary Alice Winn

Mary Alice Winn of Lawrenceburg, KY., formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Chester Otto Carrier and Mary Edna Skees Carrier was born November 20, 1931 in Grayson County, KY. She went to her heavenly home on Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Willows in Harrodsburg, KY. Age: 91

She professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Hope Community Church in Frankfort, KY.  As a former resident of Campbellsville, she was a faithful member of Campbellsville Baptist Church for over 50 years, She served the Lord by exercising her gifts as a small group leader, Sunday School teacher, missions coordinator, choir member, soloist, and as a enthusiastic hostess. Mary Alice loved serving others.

Mary Alice was united in marriage to her beloved husband Ted Winn, Jr. on July 8, 1951 in Leitchfield, KY. After they moved to Campbellsville, she worked along side him as a bookkeeper of Winn’s Store for Men.

Besides her husband of 71 years, Mary Alice is survived by her daughter Julie Winn Eaton, and her husband, Jeff of Lawrenceburg, KY.; two grandchildren:  Laura Cannon of Austin, TX , and Andrew Eaton, and his wife Maria, of Wilmore, KY.; and great granddaughters Charlotte and Gwendolyn Darby of Wilmore, KY.; a niece, Diane Jarrett-Copeland (Seth) of Atlanta, GA, and a nephew, Dave Jarrett (Ann) of Elizabethtown, KY., and many special friends.

Mary Alice was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Edna Louise Jarrett, and a grandson-in-law Tom Cannon.
