Matthew Kane Franklin

Mr. Matthew Kane Franklin of Campbellsville, son of Michael and Misty Franklin, was born on July 9, 2004. He entered into eternity on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, being 18 years, 6 months, and 6 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. He was a 2022 graduate of Taylor County High School and was a proud employee of ABEL Construction in Louisville. He had recently began pursuing an apprenticeship in carpentry and was a member of Indiana Kentucky Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters, Local 175. He will be remembered for his contagious laughter and his equal love for people from all walks of life. It was said that Matt was “bigger than life, and with a heart like Jesus”.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His parents: Michael and Misty Franklin,

A sister: Micah LeAnn Bragg and husband Tyler,

His girlfriend: Lindsey Wells,

Paternal grandparents: Lynn and Phyllis Franklin,

And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends, both local and across the United States, too numerous to name.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Robert Harold and Glenda June Gribbins.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Franklin on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 12:00 PM at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro Steve Skaggs will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 20, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Serving as casketbearers are Connor Dishman, Bailey Butler, Justin Barrett, Zach Nelson, Auston Murrell, Chandler Franklin, and Devon Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be the 2022 Taylor County High School football team, coaches, and staff.

George Estel Gray

George Estel Gray of Campbellsville, son of the late Fred Steven Gray and Mary Oliver Ford Gray, was born January 30, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 9:00 P.M., Thursday, January 19, 2023 in Campbellsville.   Age:  92

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He was a retired employee of TGT after thirty-seven years of service.

George was a people person who loved seeing his friends and neighbors in the community and spending time with them as much as he could.

He united in marriage to Louise Overton June 23, 1951 and she preceded him in death May 6, 2018.

George is survived by two sons:  Mark Gray of Campbellsville and Jamie Gray and wife, Bobbie of Georgetown; four grandchildren:  Troy Gray of Campbellsville, Lindsay Nordin and husband, Danny of Nicholasville, Jacob Gray and wife, Kiera and Savannah Gray of Georgetown; three great-grandchildren:  Bennett Nordin, Samuel Nordin, and Paisley Gray; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a son, George Kerry Gray October 26, 2009 and nine brothers and sisters with many other relatives and friends.

DEBORAH KAYE BROWN WYLAND OBITUARY

Deborah Kaye Brown Wyland, 66, of Collierville, Tennessee, formerly of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Gordon Brown and Katherine Long Whalen, was born February 19th, 1956, in Clark County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Tuesday, January 17th, 2023, at her home in Collierville.

She professed her faith in Christ and was of Christian faith.  Deborah loved family get-togethers, music, and dancing. Before retiring, she worked at Lowes for many, many years.

Survived by:

Four daughters: Melissa Katherine Bretz (Tammy Moran); Julie Elaine Asbury (Jeff Asbury); Rhonda Danience Gates (John Gates); and Tara Lynn Hoover.

Eleven grandchildren: Michael Logan Bretz, Jordan Allen Gates, Christin Renee Asbury, Brandon Caine Bretz, Roland James Underwood, Alexis Lynn Hoover, Destiny Amber Coffey, Xena Elizabeth Underwood, Tyler Cole Gates, and Stephen Lane Asbury.

Two sisters, two brothers, and several great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Deborah is preceded in death by:

One granddaughter: Jasmine Gabriell Garrett, February 2022.

Her former husband, Ronnie D. Hoover, March 2018.

VISITATION: Saturday, January 21st, 2023, from 11am-2pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

FUNERAL: Saturday, January 21st, 2023, at 2pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

Bro. Raymond Holland will be officiating the service.
