Linda Lou (Tucker) Bland

Mrs. Linda Lou (Tucker) Bland of Campbellsville was born in Taylor County on November 16, 1944 to the late Marcus Daniel LaFayette McKinley and Lola (Mann) Tucker. She departed this life on Monday, January 16, 2023 at her home, being 78 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a charter member of Fairview Baptist Church in Mannsville. Mrs. Bland was a proud farmer and homemaker, and loved her role as a mother and grandmother.

On January 16, 1990, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Todd Bland. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Dylan Michael Bland (2017); a son-in-law, Jackey Stanley (2020); a granddaughter, Gentry Michael Stanley (2021); and five siblings: Buck Mann, Dan Tucker, Hubert Tucker, Bill Tucker, and Frank Tucker.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Two children: Jason Bland and wife Kimberly of Campbellsville, and Geri Daneen (Bland) Stanley of Hodgenville,

Two grandchildren: Jessica Stanley Wafford and husband Ryan, and Madelynn Bland,

Three great-grandchildren: Evan, Owen, and Hensley Wafford,

And a host of other family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Linda Bland on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Don Gowin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 19, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Diane Hyde

Mrs. Diane LaVine Hyde, of Campbellsville, was born in Chicago, IL on November 22, 1957 to the late Bernard LaVine and Barbara Caruso LaVine. She departed this life on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, being 78 years of age. Mrs. Hyde enjoyed reading, drawing and spending time with her grandchildren.
She united in marriage on November 29, 1975 to David Hyde who survives.

She is also survived by two children: David A. Hyde and wife Shannon of Campbellsville, KY and Jamie Urchak and husband Joe of Tennessee.

Two sisters and three brothers: Kathy Hammond, Jim LaVine, Teresa LaVine, Michael LaVine, and Steven LaVine.

Three Grandchildren also survive along with a host of other family and friends.

The family has chosen cremation and all services will be held privately.

Richard Chelf

Richard Chelf of Elk Horn, son of the late Elbert Burk Chelf and Lennie Stayton Chelf, was born May 3, 1935 in Adair County, Kentucky.  He died at 12:27 A.M., Monday, January 16, 2023 in Louisville.   Age: 87

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Feathersburg Church of God.

Richard was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army.   While serving, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Parashutist Badge and the Expert Infantry Badge.

He was a retired tool and dye employee with Parker Kalon in Campbellsville.

He enjoyed coon hunting, horse riding, traveling and collecting knives and especially loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Richard united in marriage to Shirley Burress September 22, 1960 and she preceded him in death October 3, 2018.

He is survived by one son and one daughter:  Kenneth Chelf and wife, Tiffany of Elk Horn and Kathy Evans and husband, Jerry of Magnolia; four grandchildren: Casey Chelf and significant other, Emily Brewer, Ashley Chelf Nelson and husband, Joe and Zachary Chelf of Elk Horn and Stephen Evans and wife, Kayla of Magnolia; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Richard was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Evans; two brothers and three sisters:  Herbert Chelf, Ralph Chelf, Louise Sumner, Joyce Weil and Jeanette Chelf.
