Doris Jean Newton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Malvin Benningfield and Willard Drury Benningfield, was born June 15, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 5:25 A.M., Thursday, October 12, 2023 in Campbellsville, Kentucky.   Age:  91

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church.

Doris enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

Doris is survived by two sons and two daughters: Mike Newton and wife, Linda, Johnny Newton and wife, Vickie, Rhonda Watson and husband, Carl and Julie Bruce and husband, Pat all of Campbellsville; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister; Janice Thompson of Elkhorn; one sister-in-law, Lillie Benningfield Sherrill of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Doris was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: Lyndon Benningfield, Don Benningfield, Monte Ray Benningfield, Berlin Benningfield and Shirley Ann Thompson.

Jerry Lee Williams, 73

Jerry Lee Williams of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late David Williams and Eunice Stayton Williams, was born November 16, 1949 in Campbellsville, KY and departed this life on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Campbellsville after battling a long illness. He was 73 years of age.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He retired from the Taylor County School District where he worked in the technology department. He was known by many as “The Computer Expert”. His helpfulness to others was one of his finest qualities. He also built cherry furniture with his father and brother. He was rarely seen without a cup of coffee in his hand.

He is survived by his wife: Cindy Carney Williams, two daughters: Renee Duplantis of Elk Horn, and Vanessa Lyons of Campbellsville. Five grandchildren: Chelsea Turner (Matthew), Nicole Wise (Bennett), Jaleen Lyons, Michael Lyons and fiancé Tia Barnett, and Noah Duplantis.

Two Great-grandchildren: Brady Lyons and Jordyn Lyons

One brother: Rodger Williams and wife Paulette of Campbellsville and a host of other family and friends.

There will be a funeral service for Jerry Lee Williams on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel, 1765 New Columbia Rd. Campbellsville, KY with burial to follow in the Callahan Cemetery.

Bro. John Butler will officiate.

The family requests visitation on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

Amye McFall of Campbellsville, daughter of Lisa Cox McFall and the late John Mark McFall, was born May 4, 1999 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 6:02 P.M., Friday, October 6, 2023 in Lexington, Kentucky after complications from an automobile accident.              Age:  24

She professed faith in Christ.

Amye had a big heart and loved her babies. She enjoyed softball, fishing, listening to music, cooking, and owls.

Besides her mother, Lisa McFall of Campbellsville, Amye is survived by one daughter and one son: Hailey Raine Graham, and Jameson Carter McFall of Campbellsville; one brother: Aaron McFall of Campbellsville; one half-sister: Brooke Henderson of Philadelphia; her grandparents: Shirley Cox Upchurch and husband Reed and James Cox of Campbellsville; a special friend: Jerry Wayne Compton; and many other relatives and friends.

Amye was also preceded in death by her grandparents: Calvin and Doris Mcall.
