Kelly Junior Sherrell, 83

Kelly Junior Sherrell of Bradfordsville, the son of the late B. Pendleton and Elizabeth (Chapman) Raikes, was born December 4, 1938 in Taylor County and departed this life on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Liberty at the Liberty Care Center. He was 83 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Arbuckle Baptist Church and was a farmer.

Kelly was always found working, he was known at the “town mechanic”, he would work on cars, and small engines. He enjoyed playing music of all kinds and could play many instruments such as the guitar, piano, mandolin, just to name a few.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Elizabeth ‘Libby” Powell; a brother: Gene Autry Tungate; three daughters-in-law: Nita Sherrell, Sharon Sherrell and Cathy Lane.

Survivors include his wife: Darlene (Wright) Sherrells; his sons: Darrell Sherrell and wife Lorrie, Bro. Bo Sherrell, P.J. Sherrell and wife Cathy, Raymond Sherrell and wife Mary and Roger Lane.

Also ten grandchildren: Darrell Glenn Sherrell, Chastity Gribbins, Kelly Cissell, Brian, Bradley, Tyler, Jason, Timothy and Elliot Sherrell and Nickki Lane; elever great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Kelly Junior Sherrell will be Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Old Liberty Cemetery at Bradfordsville.

Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Friday

Lula Mae Bryant Hedgespeth

Lula Mae Bryant Hedgespeth of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Robert Allen “Bud” Bryant and Hattie Dicken Bryant, was born May 11, 1934 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 3:07 A.M., Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Campbellsville.    Age:  88

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

Lula was very kindhearted, loved children and working in the nursery, she enjoyed her Sunday school class and being a part of the kitchen committee at church.

Lula was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.

She united in marriage to Forster Hiestand Hedgespeth July 30, 1954.

Besides her husband, Forster Hedgespeth of Campbellsville, Lula is survived by two sons:  Barry Keith Hedgespeth and wife, Kay and Mark Hedgespeth of Campbellsville; a daughter, Diane Cox and husband, Jim of Harriman, Tennessee; four grandchildren:  Keith Hedgespeth and wife, Laura, Kayla Biggers and husband, Derrick and Kyle Hedgespeth of Campbellsville and Tiffany Clark and husband, Rick of Harriman, Tennessee; five great-grandchildren:  Carson Hedgespeth, Chloe Hedgespeth, Cecilia Hedgespeth, Mason Biggers and Madison Biggers; two sisters:  Lois Wilcoxson and Wanda Smith of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bo” Bryant.

Louise Ford, 69

Louise Ford, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Howard Adrian Hicks and Edna Jane (Sidwell) Edwards, was born, September 25, 1953 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in Louisville at the Norton Hospital. She was 69 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was attended the New Journey Church and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Fleetwood both in Campbellsville.
Louise enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, the guitar and other instruments, she loved singing and wrote several songs, but her family and grandkids topped it all.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Sharon Sherrell and a granddaughter: Sierra Summers.
Survivors include her husband: Bro. Darrell Ford; her children: Howard Keith Summers, Jr., David Shawn Summers, Tina Louise Stapleton and Shondah Cowherd and husband Brian all of Campbellsville and Joshua Ford of South Carolina.
Also two sisters: Debbie Cox and husband Jerry and Nita Tucker and husband Johnny; her mother-in-law: Betty Wilson all of Campbellsville; thirteen grandchildren: Jordan (Miranda), Austin, Cynthia, Dustin and Chris Summers, Hayley Reynolds (Payton), Kaysen Edwards, Gabriella Abell, Gage, Landon, Jaxson Ford, Addison and Bryce Cowherd; ten great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends including her dog: Rascal.

The funeral service for Louise Ford will be Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Bro. Jeff Edwards will be officiating.

Family requests visitation on Sunday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
