Audrey Mae Reynolds Cowherd

Audrey Mae Reynolds Cowherd of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Billie Reynolds and Willie Ada Caulk Reynolds, was born April 3, 1928 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 12:06 P.M., Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Columbia.   Age:  94

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Charles Lee Cowherd November 24, 1944 and he preceded her in death August 13, 2013.

Audrey loved her family, from her children and grandchildren, to siblings and nieces and nephews.  She was married to her devoted husband of sixty-nine years, whom she adored.  She spoke often of her love for her parents and grandparents.  Audrey loved children and believed each one was a precious gift from God.  She loved having people around.  Her door was always open to family, friends and even their friends.    Audrey loved animals, especially dogs and cats and for a time, raised Maltese and Basenji dogs.  She had also been an antique dealer and proprietor of Audrey’s Antiques.  She modeled generosity, selflessness and loving one another all her life.  More than anything, she loved Jesus and taught her family about His love and grace and the power of praise and prayer.

Audrey is survived by two sons and one daughter: Charles Vernon Cowherd and wife, Carolyn and Eddie Cowherd and wife, Patsy of Campbellsville and Cora Renfro and husband, James of Columbia; eleven grandchildren:   Jessica Settles and husband, Jeremy, Bret Cowherd and wife, Chelse, Ceyley McIntosh and husband, James, Brian Cowherd and wife, Shondah and Anthony Cowherd and fiancee’, April Clements of Campbellsville, Aylette Cowherd and wife, Raylen, Ceeanna Smith and husband, Bob and Zoe Bagby and husband, Billy of Greensburg, Dwight Renfro and wife, Renee and Jaime Renfro of Columbia and Caitlyn Bradley and husband, Jason of Perryville; twenty great-grandchildren with more on the way;  two sisters:  Marcia Sue Colvin and husband, Leroy of Campbellsville and Betty Hall and husband, Max of Newington, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Reynolds and a brother-in-law, Ralph Hedgespeth of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Catherine Graham; a son, Wayne “Red” Cowherd; ten siblings: Elsie Gaddie and husband, Robert, Alvin Reynolds, Emma Milby and husband, Holman, S.L. Reynolds, Romey Reynolds, Sr. and wife, Phyllis, Tommie Lee Reynolds, Mary Ellen Hedgespeth, Barry Reynolds, Fletcher Reynolds, and Catherine Lee Reynolds.

Elizabeth “Sissy” Gumm, 60

Elizabeth Ann “Sissy” Gumm, of Campbellsville the daughter of the late Dallas Gumm and Lamond (Corley) Gumm Williams, was born August 10, 1961 in Louisville and departed this life on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 60 years of age.
She had made a profession faith in Christ and was a member of the Pitman Valley Baptist Church and was a former nanny.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Alford and Mattie Gumm; aunt and uncles: Haskel Gumm, Johnny Gumm and Imogene Harris and a cousin Donnie Lindsey.
Survivors include a brother: Jimmy Gumm and wife Donna of Shepherdsville; a niece: Amber Holland and husband Travis of Shepherdsville and her close friends: Vickie and Landon Thompson, Braelyn Underwood, Rylea Underwood and Raegan Wethington and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Elizabeth Ann “Sissy” Gumm will be Monday, July 11, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Campbellsville Chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Weldon Gunter

Weldon Gunter of Campbellsville, son of the late D. B. Rhodes and Susie Ellen Gunter, was born June 22, 1964 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died Saturday, July 2, 2022 in Campbellsville.    Age:  58

He professed faith in Christ and loved the Lord.

Weldon was a former employee of the City of Campbellsville after twenty years of service.

He loved walking and spending time with family and friends.  Everyone knew him and he was very well liked.

He is survived by five sisters:  Mary Truax of Campbellsville, Rosie Putoff of Indiana, Faye Mattingly and husband, Mitchell and Carolyn Hoeck and husband, Danny of Lebanon and Tammy Brady and husband, Jerry of St. Mary; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Weldon was also preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Perkins.
