Mr. Thomas E. Walters, 78, of the Levelwood community passed from this life on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at his home following an extended illness. He was born on December 13, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Finley B. and Marjorie Jean (Bogan) Walters, and was of the Christian faith. He was a retired heavy-duty diesel mechanic. Mr. Walters was a veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Navy, and was a lifetime member of the Petaluma, CA VFW Post 1929.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife of 55 years: Mrs. Jeanne Marie (Chiantelli) Walters,
Three children: Marjorie Lee Sabino and husband Eric of Hodgenville, Cherie Marie Altman and husband Timothy of Campbellsville, and Thomas M. Walters and wife Kristen of Campbellsville,
A sister-in-law: Fran Walters of Bacaville, CA,
Seven grandchildren,
Six step-grandchildren,
Five great-grandchildren,
Twelve step great-grandchildren,
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by three siblings: Janice Jalowsky, Robert B. Walters, and Carol Jalowsky.
At the request of Mr. Walters, a private graveside funeral service will be conducted at the Flying W Cemetery in Larue County.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.

Frances Griffin Benningfield of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Edwin Griffin and Susie Caulk Griffin, was born in Campbellsville and died at 3:15 A.M., Sunday, April 16, 2023 in Campbellsville.
She professed her faith in Christ and was a dedicated member of Elkhorn Methodist Church for more than fifty-eight years.
Frances was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom where she was the second shift cafeteria manager. She loved being with her family and was always ready for a road trip. She enjoyed her flowers and began each day with two chocolate kisses; she had quite a sweet tooth. Frances was a fifty-eight year cancer survivor.
She united in marriage to Nolan Herald Benningfield July 13, 1965 and he preceded her in death December 12, 1996.
Frances is survived by one son and one daughter: John Benningfield and wife, Debbie and Nola Gaddis and husband, Ritchie of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Jessica Childs and husband, Rich, Faith Gaddis and Joshua Gaddis; one great-grandson, Jonathan Coppage; one daughter-in-law, Helen Benningfield and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Benningfield; two grandchildren: Jonathan Lyle Benningfield and Kristen Ann Benningfield and one sister, Helen Griffin Shofner.

Mrs. Shirley Ann Gabehart of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Clarence and Flossie (Gribbins) Whitehouse, passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab facility after an extended illness. She was born in Bradfordsville on July 17, 1937, and was 85 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Mannsville Christian Church. She had united in marriage to Mr. James Alden Gabehart; he preceded her in death in 1993. Mrs. Gabehart retired from Lee’s Famous Recipe following 47 years of service.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Two son: Gregory L. Gabehart of Indiana, and Jimmy Gabehart (Sherry) of Campbellsville,
Two chosen children: J. Paul and Dave Newton of Campbellsville,
Four grandchildren: Lyndsay Seaton of Indiana, Chris Gabeha
rt (Courtney) of Taylorsville, Storm “Bear” Gabehart (Missy) of Versailles, and Patric Gabehart (Angel) of Berea,
Five great-grandchildren: Landon, Maddie, Hank, Lacy, and Leah,
And a host of extended family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by three siblings: Imogene Holland, William “Fuzzy” Whitehouse, and L.C. Whitehouse.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Gabehart on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. She will be laid to rest in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family requests visitation after 9:00 AM on Tuesday.
