Lillie Autumn Michele “MNM” Dotson, 21, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Lillie was born in Columbus, October 18, 2001. Lillie was raised and cared for by her loving grandmother, Rosie Legan.

Lillie was currently a senior at Columbus North High School where she would have graduated in May 2023. She always loved being around her family and friends and she felt great comfort when she was in their presence. Lillie embodied a kind, charismatic and beautiful soul given to us as a gift in the form of a miracle. Some would call her a hero for her ability to inspire, persevere and conquer the near impossible. May we all celebrate her incredible journey and bless the world in ways only she could.

Lillie will be remembered by her loving family, her grandmother, Rosie Legan of Columbus; grandfather, Tom Dotson of Columbus; brothers, Tristan Walls and Ryan Hadley both of Columbus; uncle, Tommy Dotson of Indianapolis; and many great-aunts and uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street in Columbus Indiana.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, Kentucky with burial in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.

 Bro. Freddy Thompson will officiate.

Visitation in Kentucky will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family through the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.

Bettye Jane Gray Cox

Bettye Jane Gray Cox, age 86, formerly of Campbellsville, passed away at the home of her daughter, Toni Elaine Llauger, on April 16, 2023.  Bettye was born in Campbellsville on October 29, 1936, and has lived in Tampa, Florida, since 1963.   She is predeceased by her husband, Leslie Barnett Cox, her parents, Joe and Helen Gray, brothers Joe Gray, Jr, Eugene Gray and Robert Gray, all of Campbellsville.  She is survived by her children, Leslye Ann Chianese, Bonny Sue King, (Thomas), Robert Allen Cox, (Judy), Pamela Gail Murtha (Tim), and Toni Elaine Llauger, all of Tampa, Florida.  In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren Melissa Lynn Messick, Land o’ Lakes Florida, Thomas King, Jr., Tampa, Florida, Tanya Rechelle Cosby, Land o’ Lakes, Florida, Ambria Nicole Llauger-Torres of Lakeland, Florida and Cecily Margaret Llauger of Hahira, Georgia.  She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Matthew Allen Cosby, Madison Danielle Cosby, Ashley Nicole Cosby, Avery Grace Cosby, all of Land o’ Lakes, Florida, and Beckham Gray Gibbs of Hahira, Georgia.

Our family would like to express our deep love and appreciation to Ambria Nicole Llauger and Madison Danielle Cosby for the endless hours of love and compassion they provided to their grandmother during her final days.   Their love, compassion and kindness insured that her final days were respectful and honored.

Bettye was a lifelong member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

Thomas E. Walters, 78

Mr. Thomas E. Walters, 78, of the Levelwood community passed from this life on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at his home following an extended illness. He was born on December 13, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Finley B. and Marjorie Jean (Bogan) Walters, and was of the Christian faith. He was a retired heavy-duty diesel mechanic. Mr. Walters was a veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Navy, and was a lifetime member of the Petaluma, CA VFW Post 1929.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His wife of 55 years: Mrs. Jeanne Marie (Chiantelli) Walters,

Three children: Marjorie Lee Sabino and husband Eric of Hodgenville, Cherie Marie Altman and husband Timothy of Campbellsville, and Thomas M. Walters and wife Kristen of Campbellsville,

A sister-in-law: Fran Walters of Bacaville, CA,

Seven grandchildren,

Six step-grandchildren,

Five great-grandchildren,

Twelve step great-grandchildren,

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by three siblings: Janice Jalowsky, Robert B. Walters, and Carol Jalowsky.

   At the request of Mr. Walters, a private graveside funeral service will be conducted at the Flying W Cemetery in Larue County.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.
