Herold Dalton “PaPaw” Sluder, age 77 of Campbellsville, formerly of Louisville, the son of the late Leonard and Lue Dellie (Herron) Sluder was born July 17, 1945 in Louisville and passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 in Louisville at the Jewish Hospital.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Campbellsville and the Yellow Jacket Assembly of God in Florida while vacationing and was a former line supervisor at General Electric.
Herold enjoyed gardening, and cherished his time spent with his family, especially his grand kids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include his wife: Jeanette (Price) Sluder; his children: Jeffrey Dalton Sluder of Florida, Sandy Gail Ballinger and Pamela Jean Rogers, both of Mt. Washington and Gary Michael Miller of Campbellsville; a sister: Shirley Elgin of Indiana.
Also his grandchildren: Noah Glenn Sluder, Shawn Patrick Lyon and wife Ashley, Chrystal Dawn Lyon and husband Daryl, Tiffanie Elaine Ballinger and husband Stephen, Stephanie LeAnn Raymond and husband Thurman and Sarah Jeanette Fegett; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Obra Brackney Sluder and a granddaughter: Taylor Raye Fegett.
The funeral service for Herold Dalton “PaPaw” Sluder will be Monday, October 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with entombment in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Bro. Ron Blair and Bishop Larry Dock will be officiating.
Family requests visitation after 11:00 A.M. Monday until time for service.

Corrine Cox Brooks of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Darlis Thelbert and Viola (Garrett) Cox, was born March 1, 1944 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at her home. She was 78 years of age.
She was a homemaker and of the Christian Faith.
Corrine enjoyed dancing, sewing, TV shows and spending time with family.
She united in marriage to Bluford Brooks, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her children: Sandra Lugo and husband Camilo of Greensburg, Calvin “Boddy” Lawson of Campbellsville, Danny Lawson and wife Patricia of Louisville, Rhonda Messer and husband Ronnie of Breckinridge County and Marsha Brooks of New Albany, Indiana; a brother: Curtis Cox and wife Ruby of English, Indiana and Bonnie Wooley of Campbellsville; her special friend: Paul Gunner of Calvary.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Orvin, Thelbert and Ray Cox, Bernice Lawson, Fern Tungate and Chloe Cox.
The funeral service for Corrine Cox Brooks will be Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
Bro. Don Gowin will be officiating.

James ‘Richard’ Brockman of Campbellsville, son of the late Charles William Brockman and Mary Kathleen Underwood Brockman, was born March 14, 1948 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:50 A.M., Monday, October 17, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 74
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.
He united in marriage to Wanda J. Curry June 28, 1974.
Richard was a hard worker, having retired as a truck driver, security guard and most recently as a hospitality van driver. He loved his church, gospel singing, bluegrass music and playing in the band with his friends.
He enjoyed driving John Deere tractors in the Campbellsville 4th of July Parade, attending old car shows and watching Andy Griffin. He loved his family deep and unconditionally, spoiled his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and liked to crack jokes with friends and family.
Besides his wife, Wanda J. Brockman of Campbellsville, he is survived by four daughters: Michelle Brockman McMillan, Donna Wilson and husband, Tommie and Vickie Newton and husband, Johnny of Campbellsville and Sharon Gibson and husband, Terry of Hodgenville; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Charles Brockman, Jr. and Mary Ann Veatch and husband, Billy of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
