Charles E. “Chick” Graham

Charles E. “Chick” Graham of Campbellsville, son of the late Clarence Graham and Lizzie Richerson Graham, was born November 12, 1926 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 11:33 P.M., Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in Campbellsville.  Age:  95

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was the owner and operator of Graham’s Grocery for twenty-three years and was a retired employee of the United States Post Office after twenty-three years of service.

He united in marriage to Peggy Newton September 24, 1949.

Besides his wife, Peggy Graham of Campbellsville, he is survived by a sister, Mildred Ann Pierce; two nephews:  Jonathan Pierce of Nicholasville and Jason Pierce of Johnson City, Tennessee; special friends:  Peggy and Mike Ware, Gayle and Greg Whitley, Peggy and J. C. Lawson and Shirley and Allen Young of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Merlin Graham.

Gary “Bones” Spurling, 78

Gary Lynn “Bones” Spurling, of the Black Gnat Community of Taylor County, the son of the late Omer and Dorothy (Glenn) Spurling, was born January 10, 1944 in Taylor County and departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at his home. He was 78 years of age.

He was a former school bus driver for the Taylor County Board of Education.

Bones, as he was known mostly by enjoyed fishing, camping, trading a few antiques and was often seen on a vacant lot selling fresh produce, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends and his furry companion, Annie.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers: Jody, Lonnie and Robert.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Louise “Burress” Spurling; six children: Lonnie Spurling and wife Becky, Dale Spurling and wife Christy, Vistia “Sissy” Perkins and husband George, Ricky Spurling, Todd Spurling and wife Courtney all of Campbellsville and David Spurling of Elk Horn; a former daughter-in-law: Becky Spurling of Campbellsville; a brother: Glenn Merredith of Indiana.

Also surviving are eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

To honor the request of Mr. Spurling, cremation were entrusted to

L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

Stacy Renee Ford

Stacy Renee Ford of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of Judith Ann Humphress Ford and the late Randy Ford, was born April 28, 1977, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died Monday, May 9, 2022 in Campbellsville.   Age:  45

She was an employee of Kaelin’s Restaurant.

Stacy is survived by two daughters:  Kailey Witham and Lillian Abigail Witham;  her mother, Judy Ford of Campbellsville; one granddaughter, Braelyn McVay; one brother and one sister:  Chad Ford and husband, Adam Evans and Leigh Hays and husband, Dr. Phil Hays; Grandparents, Leonard “Starchy” Ford and wife, Sue; Special Aunt, Cathy Newton and husband, Jeff; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
