 Howard Thomas Martin, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Elder Herbert and Rose (Reynolds) Martin, was born November 26, 1924 in Tiskilwa, Illinois and departed this life on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Lebanon at the Village of Lebanon Senior Living. He was 97 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.
He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the United States Army.
He was a former postal supervisor and interim postmaster for the USPS, a former building and HVAC contractor and a tax preparer, having operated H& R Block in Campbellsville.
He was also a member of the American Legion Post 82 in Campbellville and a past president of the Jaycees.
He enjoyed working, fishing, collecting stamps for his children, had a taste for good cheese and hanging out with his buddies at Druther’s.
He united in marriage to Alice Cary (Wade) Martin, who preceded him in death on December 26, 2020.
Survivors include four children: Craig Martin and wife Renee of Lexington, Kaye Jones and husband Mike of Louisville, Scott Martin and wife Marilyn and Suzanne Wright all of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Shannon Lyman, Lauren (Rob) Poullos, Chad (Sallee) Jones, Jill (Travis) Wall, Courtney (Caleb) Davis, Jaclyn Martin and Kyle (Brittany) Martin; twelve great-grandchildren: Alec (Sidney) Lyman, Mason Lyman, Trenton Poullos, Giana Poullos, Mollie Wall, Eli Wall, Noah Wall, Elliot Davis, Theo Davis, Karlee Rakel, Rendyn Martin and Tealynn Martin and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Eddie Wright; a brother: Robert Martin and a sister: Lois Oyler.
The funeral service for Howard Martin will be Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and will be interred beside his wife the Brookside Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Dr. James Jones will be officiating.
Visitation after 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday until time for the service.

Marcella Cox of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Wallace Gabehart and Christine Monday Bottoms Gabehart, was born May 20, 1940 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 6:30 A.M., Friday, February 25, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mannsville Separate Baptist Church.
Marcella was a very caring and compassionate caregiver for many years and loved her family deeply.
She united in marriage to David Keith Cox May 12, 1958 and he preceded her in death May 6, 2003.
She is survived by one son and two daughters: Grayling Cox and wife, Lisa, Nikki Curry and companion, Liz Newton all of Campbellsville and Melissa Schlobohm and husband, Sean of Palm Coast, Florida; three grandchildren: Kassondra Cook and husband, David of Campbellsville, Kelsi Wayne Schlobohm of Lexington and Daulton Schlobohm of Palm Coast Florida; one honorary grandchild, Payton England; two great-grandchildren: Elaine Cook and Louie B. Cook; one brother and one sister: Anthony Gabehart and Becky Sizemore of Campbellsville; three sisters-in-law: Beverly Sue Cox, Kathleen Cox and Mary Nell Cox; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Timmy Bottoms, Jimmy Bottoms and Carolyn Dicken.

James Allen Biggs, 80, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Stanley and Eva Biggs, was born June 23rd, 1941, in Columbia, Kentucky, and departed this life Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at home in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
He had professed his faith in Christ and lived a Christian life. James Allen worked as a lineman for GTE (General Telephone Company) for over thirty years retiring in 1999. James Allen served as an officer for IBEW, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. After retirement, he pursued his love of riding motorcycles. He rode his Harley across the United States. He also did a three-week tour throughout Europe. He was a member of The Apache Bowhunters Club and attended their annual trip to Land Between the Lakes with good friend Steve Harvey, among others. He also helped Robert Kearney coach the Twins Little League baseball team and built a baseball field for the kids to have a place to practice. James was an amazing husband, father, poppy and friend to all who knew him.
James united in marriage to Nell Cash on December 14th, 1963, at St Marks United Methodist Church, who survives.
James Allen is survived by two daughters: Katie Biggs and Cynthia Biggs, of Campbellsville and one son, Stan Biggs and his wife, Stephanie of Puyallup, Washington; five grandchildren: Graision Biggs, Keena Angel, Abie Angel, and Lillee Byrne of Campbellsville and Tito Biggs of Puyallup, Washington; two great-grandchildren: Ellizabeth Biggs and Alicen James Angel due April of Campbellsville; one brother: Roy Biggs and his wife, Shannon, of Columbia, Kentucky; two sisters: Ruth Herron of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Sue Feece of Columbia, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Joyce Biggs of Columbia, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Phillip Cundiff of Campbellsville, Kentucky; along with many other family and friends.
Besides his parents, James Allen is preceded in death by two brothers: JD Biggs and David Owen Biggs of Columbia, Kentucky and one sister, Rachel Cundiff of Campbellsville, Kentucky.
