Larry Wayne Hatcher Sr.

Larry Wayne Hatcher Sr. of Campbellsville, the son of the late James Thomas Hatcher, Sr. and Annie Geneva Irene (Lawson) Hatcher, was born March 26, 1956, in Nashville, TN, and departed this life on May 4, 2025, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He was 69 years of age.

He was of the Christian faith and was a retired IT Infrastructure Senior Project Manager and Consultant. He has been managing projects and ongoing “back-room” operations for nearly thirty years. His experiences range from manufacturing to banking to healthcare. Larry loved spending time with his grandkids, riding the golf cart to feed ducks at the city lake & riding around Campbellsville, traveling, motorcycle riding, cooking, and spending time with friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Gayle Parker (Vance) Hatcher of Campbellsville, having united in marriage in August of 2014.  4 Children: Larry Wayne Hatcher Jr. (wife Brittany), Kimberly Michelle Hatcher, Stephanie Nicole Hatcher, all of Tennessee, and Cynthia Marie Akin (Michael) of Georgia.

7 grandchildren, Veda, Reagan, Ember, Samuel, lona, Henry, and Hayes, 1 Brother, James Thomas Hatcher, Jr of TN, a sister-in-law: Hope Epperson (Bill) – Campbellsville, and 5 nephews and 2 nieces.

Besides his parents, He was preceded in death by a sister: Linda Smith.

The funeral for Larry Wayne Hatcher will be at 5 P.M., Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow.

Bro. James Thomas Hatcher, Jr., will officiate.

The family has requested visitation on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 1- 5 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel.

John Gilbert Kessinger

John Gilbert Kessinger of Campbellsville, the son of the late Frank Kenneth Kessinger and Barbara Jean (Jones) Abell, was born November 24, 1957, in Louisville, KY, and departed this life on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Louisville at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He was 67 years of age.

He was a retired construction worker and was of the Baptist Faith.

He enjoyed fishing, walking, bike riding, and spending time with family.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenny and Gene Thomas Kessinger, and a grandchild: Zena Parrish.

Survivors include his wife, Mary (Whelan) Kessinger; three children: Mary Lobb of Campbellsville, John Whelan and Joseph Kessinger, both of Columbia; six grandchildren: Malea Lobb, Trinity Lobb, Joseph Kessinger, Jr., Damon Kessinger, and Kaden Kessinger; eight great-grandchildren.

Also his brothers and sisters: Marion Knifley, Darrell Kessinger and wife Pat, Jason Kessinger, Tony Kessinger, Barbara Elliott, Viola Chaney, Porter Kessinger and wife Toni, Hope Tamez and husband Mike, Laura Oller and Charles Kessinger, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for John Gilbert Kessinger will be Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery.

Charlotte Fay Cox Malone

Charlotte Fay Cox Malone of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late Wallace Lee Cox and Wilma Katherine Thompson Cox, was born on May 11, 1946, in Casey County, KY, and departed this life on May 11, 2025, at the U of L Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was 79 years of age.

She was of the Methodist Faith and was a homemaker and a former employee of Union Underwear. She enjoyed playing with her cats, doing word searches, going out to eat, and shopping.

She is survived by her three children: Debra Viers, Roger Malone (Shelia), and James Malone (Delayna) all of Campbellsville. 4 Grandchildren: Cigi Blair (Daniel), Jesse Malone (Kate), James Lee Malone, and Adam Mitchell (Alicia). 10 great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Everett Barnett of Shelbyville.

She is also survived by one brother and two sisters: Joe Cox of Campbellsville, Sheila Gabehart (Randy) of Knifley, and Melinda Bishop of Burkesville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Raymond Cox, Jerry Cox, Patricia Followell, and Diana Cox, and a brother in infancy, Marrice Dean Cox.

The funeral service for Charlotte Fay Cox Malone will be at 11 A.M. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home – Acton Chapel with burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Bro. John Hall will be officiating.

The family has requested visitation on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 5-8 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home – Acton Chapel.
