James Robert Arnett

James Robert Arnett of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Robert Arnett and Clara Beams Arnett was born on February 23, 1963, and departed this life on Monday, January 6, 2025, at his residence. He was 61 years of age.

He had attended the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He loved sports cars and riding his lawnmower.

He is survived by his half-brother: Richard Arnett of Sandwich, IL, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Alice Arnett.

There will be a Funeral Service for James Robert Arnett at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens

Bro. Michael Goodwin will officiate.

The family requested visitation on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Eugene Hall McMahan

Eugene Hall McMahan of Campbellsville, son of the late Henry Graves McMahan and Mary Burress McMahan, was born March 30, 1942 in Green County, Kentucky.  He died at 3:15 P.M., Monday, January 13, 2025 in Campbellsville.   Age: 82

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Eugene was a furniture maker and owner and operator of Campbellsville Handmade Cherry Furniture.

Eugene loved classic cars, UK basketball and flower gardens, but his true passion was making furniture.

He united in marriage to Linda Allen February 13, 1971.

Besides his wife, Linda McMahan of Campbellsville, Eugene is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Leah McMahan of Louisville; two grandchildren:  Walt McMahan and Juliana McMahan of Louisville; three brothers and four sisters:  James McMahan and wife, Joyce, Truman McMahan and wife, Joyce and Mary Hedgespeth and husband, Larry of Campbellsville, Edgar McMahan and wife, Lynn and Bonnie Yeakey and husband, Scott of North Carolina, Faye Eggenberger and husband, Howard of Minnesota and Anna Marie Curry of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Eugene was also preceded in death by a brother, David McMahan.

Marjorie Sheets

Marjorie Sheets of Danville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Benjamin Turner Wayne and Annie Mae Deener Wayne, was born October 5, 1937 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 3:55 A.M., Monday, January 13, 2025 in Danville.   Age: 87

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Perryville Baptist Church.

Marjorie was a retired employee of the State of Kentucky License and Regulation Branch.

She loved flowers and always had beautiful gardens.  Marjorie had a generous heart and a gentle spirit, especially caring for children.  She also enjoyed UK Athletics.

She united in marriage to Ellis Donald Sheets August 1, 1958 and he preceded her in death.

Marjorie is survived by three daughters:  Shari Alexander and husband, Doug of Glasgow, Melissa Sheets of Danville and Vicki Kinnaird and Jeff Darr of Liberty; nine grandchildren:  Christopher Sheets, Benjamin Sheets, Madalynn Sheets, Joseph Sheets, John Bennett Alexander, Maeghann Morrison and husband, Jon, Bryant Kinnaird, Sara Kinnaird and Emily Kinnaird (Muneed Arshad); three great-grandchildren:  Thomas Reid Morrison, Adilynn Mae Morrison and Rhett Michael Morrison; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Sheets June 4, 2023 and one brothers and two sisters:  James Edward Wayne, Barbara Johnson and Pauline Wayne.
