Mrs. Betty Jean Seals, 60, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Bennie Garrett and Lois Gribbins Garrett, was born August 16th, 1960, in Taylor County and departed this life peacefully on Thursday, August 5th, 2021, at Vanderbilt Health in Nashville, Tennessee.
She professed her faith in Christ and was of Baptist faith.
Mrs. Betty was a dedicated schoolteacher for 28 years at Lake Cumberland Head Start of Taylor County. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
She united in marriage to James Seals on January 25th, 1974, who survives.
Survived by three daughters: Mary Ann Gunter and her husband, Jessie of Taylor County; Melissa Kinser and husband, Chris, of Campbellsville; and Brittany Seals of Campbellsville.
One son: James Seals, Jr., of Campbellsville.
Twelve grandchildren: Bradley Pittman and his wife, Amberly; and Nathaniel Pittman, both of Merrimac Community; Nicholas Pittman of Acton Community; Bethany Gunter, Jessica Gunter, and Marissa Gunter, all of Taylor County; Madison Kinser, Grant Kinser, Jaxon Garrett, Aliyah Garrett, and Gage Seals, all of Campbellsville.
Five great-grandchildren: Eli Pittman, Lily Pittman, and Sophia Pittman, all of Merrimac Community; AnnLynn Berry and Kara Berry, both of Taylor County.
Three sisters: Connie Gribbins and her husband, George; Evelyn Cox and her husband, Bobby; and Josephine Newton and her husband, Roy, all of Campbellsville.
Two brothers: Stanley Garrett of Merrimac Community and Junior Garrett and his wife, Carol of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Betty is preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters: David Garrett, Hanley Garrett, Juanita Cox, Barbara Tungate, and Jeanette Clements.
VISITATION: Monday, August 9th, 2021, from 5pm-8pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
FUNERAL: Tuesday, August 10th, 2021, at 1pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
Burial to follow in Tallow Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Grant Kinser, Bradley Pittman, Jesse Seals, Roger Dale Seals, Roy Newton, and George Gribbins, Jr.

Mr. Alton Stewart Haines of Hiseville, formerly of Mannsville, passed from this life on Monday, August 2, 2021. Born in Carroll County, Maryland on April 11, 1931 to the late Walter Turner, Sr. and Mary Pauline (Wantz) Haines, he was 90 years, 3 months, and 23 days of age. Mr. Haines had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.
Alton met and married the love of his life, Ms. Barbara Hutchinson, who he affectionately referred to as “Jones”. Together they owned and operated various dairy farms in their home state of Maryland and started a family. They moved their growing family to Kentucky and continued their passion for farm life on a large dairy farm in Mannsville and then later in Campbellsville. They shared 62 years of marriage until her passing in February 2019. Alton also spent several years with Cox Interior in addition to farming. All who knew Alton experienced the tremendous character and work ethic that he personified.
He leaves to carry his legacy:
Four children: Donna Durbin of Cave City, Tom Haines and wife Tonya of Campbellsville, Will Haines and wife Tammy of Greensburg, and Charlie Haines and wife Karin of Huntsville, AL,
Thirteen grandchildren: Christopher Durbin, Zachary Durbin, Lauren Bennett and husband Jamie, Elizabeth Coffey and husband Josh, Emily Cook and husband Chris, Jacob Haines, Shelby Haines, Jessica Lewis and husband Chip, Ashley Haines, Morgan Haines, Chase Haines, Charley Haines, and Chandler Haines,
Five great-grandchildren: Riley Coffey, Elaine Cook, Colbie Coffey, Rosalind Bennett, and Thomas Jack Cook,
And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Susan Marie Haines, and a son-in-law, Jack Durbin.
Mr. Haines chose cremation. There will be a service to celebrate his life on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 3:00 PM EST (2:00 PM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Jamie Bennett will be officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 1:00 PM EST (12:00 PM CST) until time for the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.

Henry Milton Jones, Jr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Henry Milton Jones, Sr. and India Maude McCubbin Jones, was born April 14, 1933, in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 7:45 A.M., Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 88
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon, church treasurer, worship leader and was a Sunday School teacher for over forty years.
Milton was a life-long farmer and was a former member of the Taylor County ASF Office and Taylor County Farm Bureau. He also served on the Taylor County Democratic Executive Committee and the Taylor County School Board for sixteen years. He was also a Gideon for several years.
He united in marriage to Geraldine Goff January 30, 1952.
Besides his wife, Geraldine Jones of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Jason Jones and Sharon Harris and husband, Brian of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Carly Ann Davis of Nashville, Tennessee, Sara Harris and fiancé, Meong Kwak of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Ben Harris-Medina and wife, Ely of Lexington; adopted grandson, Neil Hooper of Campbellsville; two brothers: David Jones and wife, Johnette of Boston, Massachusetts and Donald Jones and wife, Betty of Killeen, Texas; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul M. and Tammy Jones and one brother and one sister: Vontress Jones and Louise Mings.
