Raymond “Spot” Harris

Raymond “Spot” Harris of Campbellsville, son of the late Milburn R. Harris and Ermin Bell Whitlock Harris, was born on June 17, 1945 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 5:05 P.M., Monday, June 7, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 75
He professed faith in Christ.
Spot worked hard all his life from farming, milking, roofing and electrical work and was especially good at plumbing. He treated everyone like family and was careful to only take what they could afford to pay for his work.
He united in marriage to Sue Hughes September 17, 1967 and she preceded him in death January 26, 2016.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter: John Harris and family, Raymond Jody Harris and family and Joanie Lokovich and family, of Campbellsville; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister: Siebert Harris and Melvin “Dick” Harris of Campbellsville, George Ray Harris of Clinton, Illinois and Annette Sharp of Scottsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Spot was also preceded in death by four brothers: Tommy Harris, Hank Harris, Marvin Harris and Robert J. “Blue” Harris and seventeen infants and toddlers.

Jason Allen Humphress, 42

Jason Allen Humphress, the son of Charles “Chat” and Debbie (Gribbins) Humphress, was born June 15, 1978 in Jefferson County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, June 6, 2021 in Campbellsville at the home of his parents. He was 42 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Elk Horn Baptist Church and was an employee of Campbellsville Industries.

Jason enjoyed fishing, playing pool, playing corn hole, poker, mowing and landscaping.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a son: Justin Humphress and companion: Kenzie Sprowles; a daughter: Breanna Humphress and their mother Deanna Humphress all of Campbellsville; two sisters: Jessica Watson and fiancé Josh Wood of Campbellsville and Jennifer Neagle and husband Brian of Summersville and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Jason Allen Humphress will be Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with Dr. Brian Rafferty officiating.

Family requests visitation from 5-8 PM on Tuesday and after 8 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.

BETTY LOU COX OBITUARY

Betty Lou Cox, 84, of Elkhorn, Kentucky, daughter of the late Willard Ford and Minnie Jewell (Ward) Cox was born August 6th, 1936, in Taylor County and departed this life peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 6th, 2021, at her home in Elkhorn, Kentucky.

She professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Feathersburg Church of God of Elkhorn, Kentucky.  She was an active member of Feathersburg Church of God Women WCG.  Betty was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom of thirty plus years as a machine operator.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was a devoted supporter of her family.  She truly enjoyed cooking for her entire family and church family.

Betty united in marriage to Harold L. Cox, on June 25th, 1955, and preceded her in death on March 9th, 1999.

Survived by one son and two daughters:  Tony and wife Shirley Cox; Cindy and husband Larry Cox; and Kim and husband Rodney Cox, all of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Five grandchildren:  Kay Cox of Mt. Sterling; Alex and wife Ashley Cox of Elkhorn; Beth Auker of Elkhorn; Dusty Cox of Elkhorn; Eathan Cox of Elkhorn, and Jewell Cox of Elkhorn.

Three great-children:  Lance Auker, Kelsi Auker, and Noah Cox, all of Elkhorn.

One sister:  Sue Cox of Elkhorn.

Besides her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by one great-grandchild:  Jackson Cox.

VISITATION:  Wednesday, June 9th, 2021, from 5pm-8pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville, Kentucky.

FUNERAL:  Thursday, June 10th, 2021, at 1pm EST, at Feathersburg Church of God of Elkhorn, KY.  Visitation at the church on Thursday, June 10th, 2021, at 9am EST till time of funeral.

Burial to follow in Callahan Cemetery of Elkhorn, KY.  Bro. Alex Cox, Bro. Bob Langlois, and Bro. Chris Copher will be officianting the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Hosparus of Green River and Feathersburg Church of God Women WCG in honor of Mrs. Betty Lou Cox.  Donations can be made at the funeral home.
