William “Billy Ray” Philpott, son of the late Cecil and Lottie Philpott was born June 14, 1941 in Campbellsville. He passed away August 28, 2021 at age 80.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Billy Ray was a retired heavy equipment operator, and helped build interstates, parkways, and roads all across Kentucky.
He loved his family, his pets, auto racing, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and antiques.
Billy Ray united in marriage to Linda Gail Philpott on August 13, 1960. She preceded him in death December 20, 2011.
He is survived by one son and one daughter: Robbie Philpott and wife, Sandra of Campbellsville and Veronica Allen of Lexington; two grandsons: Cole Bland and Ethan Philpott both of Campbellsville and one sister, Pauline Pike of Campbellsville.
The family would like to thank Janet Wright for her excellent and compassionate care of Billy Ray.

Anna Lee Wise Johns of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Forrest D. Wise Sr. and Ruby M. Childs was born June 11, 1937 in Taylor County. She died at 8:41 A.M., Saturday August 28, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 84
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.
Anna Lee was a homemaker who dearly loved and supported her family. She always attended all their ballgames and horseshows. She was a long time chairman of the Horseshows for the Taylor County Fair Board and was active with 4H clubs. She loved all sports except football and was a huge UK fan. She enjoyed being outdoors and especially watching the hummingbirds that came to the feeders she had out for them.
She united in marriage to Tommy Johns November 9, 1958. He preceded her in death August 19, 2002.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Terry Johns and wife, Carlotta and Debbie Browning and husband, Eddie of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Alex Browning and wife, Kaelyn, Matthew Johns and wife, Brandi, Tiffany Browning, Logan Johns and fiancée Haley Wright, and J.T. Johns of Campbellsville; Anna Lee was anxiously awaiting the birth of her first great-grandchild due in September; she is also survived by one brother, Carl Ray Wise and wife Mildred of Lexington; a sister-in law, Juanita Wise of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers: Beulah Smothers, Doris Jean Magers, Merle Wise, Norman B. Wise, and Forrest Wise Jr.

Mrs. Carolyn (Murphy) Marcum Morris, 71, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late James “Bill” Wesley Murphy and Elle Frances (Cull) Murphy, was born in Taylor County on April 27th, 1950, and departed this life peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 26th, 2021, in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
She professed her faith in Christ. Carolyn was a member of the American Legion of Campbellsville.
Carolyn was a very loving mother and grandmother. She showed great care and compassion to all who knew her. She had a passion for dancing and loved watching country music videos.
She built starters at Ingersoll Rand in Campbellsville and retired after many years of employment.
She united in marriage to James “Jimmy” Morris, who precedes her in death on October 13th, 2018.
Survived by one son: JJ Marcum of Campbellsville, Kentucky.
One granddaughter: Lexi Marcum of Campbellsville, Kentucky.
Two step-grandsons: Shawn Larger and wife, Becca and Darrin Larger, all of Cpbellsville, Kentucky.
One unborn great-granddaughter: Laklynn Marcum.
Three sisters: Mary Ann Thomas and husband, Bernard, of Calvary; Diane Bland and husband Ricky, of Campbellsville; and Betty Burris and husband Danny, of Russell Springs. am
One brother: Billy Murphy of Campbellsville.
Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Marcum is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Jackie Marcum.
VISITATION: Sunday, August 29th, 2021, from 5pm-8pm at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
FUNERAL: Monday, August 30th, 2021, at 11am EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
Entombment to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Shawn Thomas, Jagger Thomas, John Marcum, Scott Abell, Kevin Abell and Robbie Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers: Billy Murphy and Donnie Marcum.
In lieu of flowers the family has ask for expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River and can be made at the funeral home.
