Lisa Kaye (Gribbins) Cox

Mrs. Lisa Kaye (Gribbins) Cox of Mannsville, daughter of the late Stanley Shirrell and Rosie Mae (Helm) Gribbins, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 30, 1962. She departed this life on Friday, August 8, 2025 at her home, being 63 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Cox worked at the Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville, then fourteen years at Amazon, before retiring from Protech. She was a social butterfly that loved to cook for her family, and loved listening to Southern Fried Friday Nights on the Big Dawg, cruising Main Street, going to car shows, and, in her earlier years, she especially enjoyed the freedom found on the back of a motorcycle. Yet above all that, she will be best remembered for her big heart that was full of love and kindness for her family, both biological and chosen, and she spent many hours discovering her roots and new connections through her passion of genealogy.

She leaves to carry her legacy:

Three daughters: Karen Corbin and husband Travis, Robyn Clements-Wood and fiance Blake Veatch, and Christal Beard and husband Kelly,

A niece and nephew that she raised and loved as her children: Raymond Gribbins and wife Estefania, and Kaylee Gribbins Harris and husband Colton,

Fourteen grandchildren,

Nineteen great-grandchildren,

One unborn great-grandson,

Three siblings: Greg Gribbins and wife Nona, Patti Gribbins, and Terry Gribbins,

And a host of extended family members and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Tommy Gribbins, Robert “Mike” Gribbins, and David Gribbins.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Cox on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Ramon Hollins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallow Creek Cemetery in Mannsville. She will be carried to her final resting place by Dylan Berry, Dalton Berry, Dakota Corbin, Cody Garrett, Terry Harris, and Raymond Gribbins. Travis Corbin, Blake Veatch, and Jamie Pippin will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 12, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Hosparus of Green River and the Taylor Regional Cancer Center for the care and compassion shown Mrs. Cox during her final days. May God bless and keep you all.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the funeral expenses. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.
