Raymond John Benaitis, the son of the late Anthony and Helen (Brazaitis) Benaitis, was born Ocotber 2, 1942 in Chicago, IL and departed this life on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 4:08 AM at his home in Campbellsville. He was 78 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Roberts Baptist Church. He was a precision grinding machinist.
Ray as he was mostly called was an opera music fanatic and enjoyed singing it as well. He liked country and western music, enjoyed cooking and was a fix-it man. He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
His is survived by his wife: Viola (Willis) Benaitis of Campbellsville; four children: Raymond Benaitis, Jr and wife Shannon, Sean Benaitis and wife Dannette, Anita Daniels and David Gall, all of Illinois; three sisters: Alvina Giedraitis and Helen Ann Hupetisw both of Illinois and Katherine Johnson and husband David of Indiana; 13 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law: Norene Feese, special friend: Mike Best and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three children: Kenny Absher, Ronald Absher and Richard Absher.
The funeral service for Raymond Benaitis will be Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial in the Absher Cemetery in Adair County.
The funeral service will be streamed online on L.R. Petty Funeral Home facebook page.
Bro. Michael Woodrum will be officiating.
Family requests visitation after 10:30 A.M. EST on Saturday until time for the service.
Memorials are suggested to Hosparus of Green River, which can made in person at the funeral home.

Lawrence Edward “Sonny” Lyons of Campbellsville, son of the late William Leslie Lyons and Floye Marie Enyard Lyons, was born November 30, 1940 in Marion County, Kentucky. He died at 1:59 A.M., Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 80
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
He was a retired construction employee and mechanic.
Favorite past times were coon hunting and playing music with his friends.
Sonny united in marriage to Phyllis Hicks July 11, 1981.
Besides his wife, Phyllis Hicks Lyons of Campbellsville, he is survived by four sons and five daughters: Wilma Wilson (Steve) of Campbellsville, Joyce Oddson (Patrick) of Odessa, Florida, Dwight Murphy
(Donna) of Liberty, Delora Akin of Campbellsville ,Tara Burdine (Doug) of Campbellsville, Caroline Hewitt (David) of Lebanon, Larry Lyons (Lisa), Gary Lyons (Terri) and Scott Lyons of Campbellsville; twenty-three grandchildren: Brandie Wilson (Chris), Matthew Wilson (Tasha), Joshua Wilson (Holly) and Jacob Wilson (Kaleigh) of Campbellsville, Jonathan Oddson of Odessa, Florida, Drema Thompson (Brance) of Alvaton, Tiffany Sharp (Ronnie) of Liberty, Damian Fair, Kenny Fair (Kelly) and Shannon Gabehart (Travis), Shawn Sowders, Tracy Montgomery (Kyle), Ashley Spurling (Demonte) and Shelby Burdine (Jake), Joey Buckman (Nicole), Chris Buckman, Jonathan Hewitt, Cartina Hewitt, McKenzie Lyons, Zach Lyons, Laken Lyons, Jaylen Lyons and Michael Lyons (Tia) of Campbellsville; twenty-seven great-grandchildren: Taylor Wilson, Karah Wilson, Logan Wilson, Chloe Motheral, Aubrey Wilson, Nicky Wilson, Westyn Wilson, Josiah Wilson, Ryan Sharp, Lilly Sharp, Paisley Thompson, Jaclyn Fair, Elissa Ford, Hunter Ford, Ethan Ford, Nathan Sowders, Kaylee Sowders, J.J. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: James Lyons, Buddy Lyons, Corene Mitchell and Rita Purdom.

William Enoch “Bill” Perkins of Campbellsville, son of the late Enoch Perkins, Jr. and Alice Chesser Perkins, was born January 17, 1954 in Washington County, Kentucky. He died at 8:48 A.M., Monday, July 5, 2021 in Campbellsville.
Age: 67
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
He was a retired quality engineer.
Bill united in marriage to Wanda Barnett Atwell May 14, 1983.
Besides his wife, Wanda Perkins of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter, Tanya Perkins of Campbellsville; two sisters: Betty Wohner and husband, Joe of Springfield and Debbie Boblett of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, Jimmy Atwell and two sisters: Carol Howell and Kathy Harper.
