Mr. Ernest Lee Walls of Campbellsville passed from this life on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was born in Taylor County to the late Jesse and Eunice (Galt) Walls and was 89 years and 9 months of age at the time of his passing. Mr. Walls was a retiree from Coca-Cola Bottling and had served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. In 2009, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mrs. Jewell (Holmes) Walls. He leaves to mourn his passing: One son: Greg Walls and companion Sandra White of Campbellsville, A sister: Rose Wright and husband Clellen of Campbellsville, Two grandchildren: Winston Walls of Campbellsville and Emma Whitlock of Larue County and a host of other family members and friends. Margaret Sapp of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ralph Rodgers and
Claudine McCubbin Rodgers, was born June 22, 1935 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died
at 3:25 P.M., Thursday, November 12, 2020 in Louisville. Age: 85
She professed faith in Christ and was an active member of Spurlington
United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women and enjoyed her Bible
study group.
Margaret united in marriage to Samuel Sapp November 18, 1951 and he preceded
her in death on November 23, 2003.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Steve Sapp of Campbellsville, Bradley Sapp
and wife, Sherl of Summersville and Jennifer Wethington and husband, Van of
Bowling Green; six grandchildren:
Bronson Sapp and wife, Natasha, Stevie Sapp, Tyler Sapp and wife, Jamie,
Candra Sickles and husband, John, Grace Anne Wethington and Lynde Landis; one
step-grandson, Chad Fawcett and wife, Sharonda; six great-grandchildren: Will Landis, Knox Landis, Kenton Sapp, Summer
Sapp, Haley Swindle and Taylor Sapp; two brothers and two sisters: Jimmy Rodgers and wife, Debbie, Bobby Rodgers
and wife, Donna, Eva Skaggs and husband, Ham and Lorena Mann; several nieces
and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Margaret was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Gail Sapp
Fawcett January 14, 2019 and two brothers:
Mitchell Rodgers February 1, 2013 and Billy Joe Rodgers June 4, 1999.

Dr. David G. Simmons of Campbellsville passed from this life on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at his home. Born in Green County on August 18, 1933 to the late Austin and Reba (Hill) Simmons, he was 87 years, 2 months, and 20 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith and attended The Rock Church in Campbellsville. Dr. Simmons was a graduate of Green County High School, the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, and had attained the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force. His generous heart will be dearly missed by those who knew him best. He leaves to mourn his passing: His wife: Catina (Rooker) Simmons, His children: Sherrie Pate and husband Derrel, Lisa Brown and husband Eddie, Cindy Springer and husband Kenneth, Leeann Hernandez and husband Mark, and Karol Joyce Simmons; his step-children: Corey Tyler Caldwell, Hannah Elizabeth Faith Frazier, Riley Grace Simmons, Zakhi “Ki” Elijah Simmons, and Zakari “Kari” Simmons.
