Tom Rose of Campbellsville, son the late Lindsey Rose and Hallie Cox Rose Chaney was born November 16, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:25 A.M., Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 80

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. Tom served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a retired firefighter with the Campbellsville Fire Department after some twenty-eight years service and was an avid collector of fire memorabilia and enjoyed putting together plastic models.

He united in marriage to Virginia Butler July 11, 1961.

Besides his wife, Virginia Rose of Campbellsville he is survived by one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Billy Butler, Frances Morris, Allie Pierce and husband, Norman and Ruby Rose; three nephews and five nieces: James Pierce and wife, Michelle, Susan Burress, Nancy Kitt and husband Chuck, Bonnie Collins and husband, Jeff, Jamie Rose and wife, Rhonda, Billy Robinson, Tammie Green and husband, Bill and Joyce Rose and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers: Catherine Marie Rose, Jimmy Rose and Bobby Rose.

Mrs. Angel Perkins

Mrs. Angel May Holt Perkins, 52, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Walter Holt and Louise Blake Grimes was born March 12th, 1968, and departed this life on Friday, September 25th, 2020, in Campbellsville, KY.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of New Journey Church in Campbellsville, KY.  She was a devoted wife and loving sister.  She loved her family, taking pictures, flowers especially roses, caring for children, and serving and attending church.

She united in marriage to Glen Perkins on September 20th, 2009, who survives.

Survived by one stepson and one step daughter: Steve Perkins and wife Tracy of Campbellsville and Brenda Jenkins of Campbellsville.

Survived by five sisters and three brothers: Gloria Johnson of New York, Judy Kief of New York, Hallie Johnson of Campbellsville, Yvonne Johnson of Tennessee, Walter Holt of Liberty, Debbie Holt – Harmon of North Carolina, Carl Holt of Tennessee, and Ronnie Carey of Pennsylvania. 

Four grandchildren: Kyle Lee, Whitney Payton and husband Matt, Cody Jenkins, and Katie Jenkins all of Campbellsville, KY.

Walk through visitation is requested from 5pm-8pm EST, Tuesday, September 29th, at Auberry Funeral Home and Cremation in downtown Campbellsville.

Funeral service will be 1pm EST, Wednesday, September 30th, at Auberry Funeral Home and Cremation Services in downtown Campbellsville.

Social distancing guidelines and mask are required upon entering building.

Ricky Patton, 60

Mr. Ricky Lewis Patton of Campbellsville was born on June 9, 1960 to the late Joy Winifred and Doris Jean (Wood) Patton. He departed this life on Saturday, September 26, 2020 being 60 years, 3 months, and 17 days of age. Mr. Patton was a graduate of Campbellsville University, where he had earned his bachelor of science degree. He had originally planned to practice as a certified public accountant, but joined his father in the family business instead. A good-hearted man, he was an exceptional mechanic and, after the passing of his father, became the owner and operator of Pat’s Transmission Shop. 
He leaves to mourn his passing:
   One brother: Steve Patton and wife Louise of Campbellsville,
   A niece: Alannah Patton of Campbellsville,
   One grand nephew: Kasin Bishop of Campbellsville,
   An aunt: Edith Hardin of Louisville,
   His cousin: Ronnie Patton of Campbellsville,
   And several extended family members and friends.
   There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Patton on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Clifton Bennett will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery.
   The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept 29, starting at 10:30 AM.
   In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations of Gideon Bibles. Those can be made in person at the funeral home, or online through the “How Can I Help” tab on the front page of this site.
   Current CDC guidelines will be followed, including the use of masks and social distancing.
