Helen F. Newton Vaughn

Ms. Helen F. Newton Vaughn departed this life on January 11, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was 87 years old.
Ms. Helen graduated as Salutatorian of the Class of 1950 at Campbellsville High School. Later that year, she married John William “Bill” Vaughn. They remained married for 55 years. The couple had two sons: Jeffery Alan and John David.
Ms. Helen was employed at Fruit of the Loom until her retirement. During her time there, she achieved Assistant Vice President and helped install the company’s GED program to help those who worked with her receive high school diplomas.
She was the first female president of the Campbellsville Chamber of Commerce and worked with the Taylor County Library, serving on its board for many years.
Ms. Helen joined the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church in 1951, where she played piano and taught Sunday School classes for many years. She was also a leader in their women’s organization.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Virginia “Ginny” Newton; her husband, John Vaughn, a brother, Garnett Newton and her son, Jeff Vaughn.
Ms. Helen is survived by a brother, Willard (Marian) Newton; her son, John (Dawn) Vaughn, as well as two grandchildren, Laci Jo and Ruby Vaughn; three step-grandchildren: Cody, Tara and Garrett Rose; three great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Gracie and Brantley. She will also be sorely missed by her special friend, Eugene Mosz.

Goldie Graham

Goldie Graham of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Hubbie Graham and Bessie Ann Caulk Graham, was born January 21, 1923 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 12:18 A.M., Friday, January 8, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 97
Goldie professed faith in Christ and was a life-time member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. She was a talented and giving person; her beautiful quilts and delicious pies and biscuits will always be remembered and her eagerness to help anyone in need will always be cherished.
Goldie is survived by one sister-in-law, Betty Jean Graham of Campbellsville and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters: Roy Graham, Freddie Graham, James Earl Graham, Robert Graham, Edgar W. Graham, Tressie Hunt and Lorene Rhodes.

William J. Wallace, 80

William J. Wallace age 80 of Campbellsville, the son of the late John Andrew and Gladys (Brown) Wallace, was born February 25, 1940 in Dennison, Ohio and departed this life on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Campbellsville at his home. He was 80 years of age.

He was a former Policeman, a farmer, a mill worker, and a avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife Jean (Gray) Wallace of Campbellsville; two daughters: Kathy Morling of Campbellsville and Kitty Brandt of Appleton, Wisconsin; three grandchildren: Sarah Fraser, John Meyner and Billy Brandt; two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Kelly Frost.

All services will be private.
