Mrs. Linda Lou Alford of Campbellsville was born in Scottsville, KY on December 7, 1944 to Mazie (Wilkerson) Kettles and the late Ray Kettles. She departed this life on Saturday, September 19, 2020 being 75 years, 9 months, and 12 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. A sweet and loving lady, she was an exceptional homemaker; she enjoyed raising a garden and cooking and canning for her family. She retired from Fruit of the Loom in 1997 and spent the later part of her years attending her beloved Sunday School class. Mrs. Alford had a strong faith, and joyfully instilled in her children the love of God and church. She leaves to mourn her passing: Her husband: James L. Alford, Two children: Kristin Bolin and husband Jackie, and James L. Alford Jr., all of Campbellsville, Two grandchildren: Mary Catherine Bolin and Cheyenne Autumn Bolin of Danville, One great-grandchild: Cordelia Reese Bolin of Danville, Five siblings: Madge Bailey of Bowling Green, Richard Kettles of Danville, Carolyn Sue Douglas of Junction City, Jozette Hayes of Danville, and Jeff Kettles of Harrodsburg, And a host of other family and friends. Mr. Thomas Gene Ruffino of Campbellsville was born August 16, 1957 to Tony and Eunice (Pilgreen) Ruffino. He departed this life on September 19, 2020, being 63 years, 1 month, and 3 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Vineyard Church. He was a Manager at Kroger, having worked in the produce department for twelve years. He leaves to cherish his memory: Three children: Kristan Michelle Hanke and husband Nathaniel, Joshua Thomas Ruffino and wife Elizabeth, and Justin David Ruffino and wife Sheena, all of Texas His girlfriend: Shelly Crotty Laundry, A former spouse and mother of his children: Cindy Lou Manual, Two grandchildren: James Weis and Gabriel Hanke, Brothers and sisters: Frank Antony Ruffino, Preston Guy Ruffino, and Joanne Elizabeth Ruffino all of Texas, And a host of other family and friends. Sharp of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison Perkins and
Virginia Pike Perkins, was born March 31, 1931 in Taylor County,
Kentucky. She died at 12:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in Campbellsville.
Age: 89
She
professed faith in Christ and was a member of God’s Grace Church.
Loretta
retired from Fruit of the Loom with over 40 years of service.
She
united in marriage to William T. “Bill” Sharp October 12, 1946 and he preceded
her in death June 17, 2000.
She
enjoyed working in her garden and flowers.
She was an outgoing person who never met a stranger.
Loretta
is survived by one son, Gary Sharp and wife, Mary Ann of Campbellsville; one
daughter-in-law, Sharon Sharp of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Shannon
Sharp and John Sharp and wife, Lindsey of Campbellsville, and Lisa Nelson and
husband, Sean of Buffalo; four great-grandchildren: Julie Sharp, Logan Sharp,
Dawson Creason and Bentley J. Sharp-Ford; several nieces and nephews and many
other relatives and friends.
Loretta
was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Sharp; one grandchild, Jeff Sharp
and one brother and six sisters: Edwin
Perkins, Margaret Barnett, Venetta Barnett, Virginia Askren, Ida Belle Corbin,
Irene Bault, and Mattie Perkins.
