Mr. Howard Edward “Grady” Caldwell of Campbellsville was born on December 26, 1947 to the late James “Jim” and Clora Mae (Spurling) Caldwell. He departed this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at his home, being 71 years, 10 months, and 26 days of age. He was a retiree of Parker-Kalon, and the beloved husband to Mrs. Mary (Porter) Caldwell, who survives.
Mr. Caldwell enjoyed working with his hands and was a talented small engine mechanic. In his younger years, he was instrumental in helping his brother compete in motorcycle drags. He also loved spending time at home with his family – especially when they could watch the University of Louisville Cardinals.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Mary Caldwell, he leaves to cherish his memory:
Three children: Andrea Lynn Caldwell of Louisville, Latonya Broadnax of Indiana, and John Vernon Caldwell of Campbellsville,
Two siblings: Margie Durham of Campbellsville, and James Caldwell of Campbellsville,
Five grandchildren,
And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Nell Groves.
The eulogy will be delivered at 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville. Family and friends are invited to stay after to share memories and stories.
At the request of Mr. Caldwell, cremation rites will be accorded him after the service.

Silas “Buddy” Harris of Campbellsville was born December 29, 1934, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Silas Harris, Sr. and Ermine Nelson Harris. He departed this life at 5:22 P.M., Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville at the age of 84.
Buddy professed faith in Christ and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. He was a previous member of Campbellsville Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and worked in the preschool ministry. He had also been an active member of the Emmaus Community.
He was a retired employee of Kentucky Utilities Company.
Buddy united in marriage to Mildred Sue Richerson February 17, 1957 and she preceded him in death March 23, 2016. He was a devoted husband and enjoyed spending time with her and their many friends. He was also a loving father and a proud Pappaw to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were a delight to him.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters: Tim Harris and wife, Debbie and Mike Harris of Campbellsville, Karen Edwards and husband,Kelvin of Summersville, Jenny Houk and her husband, Joey of Greensburg and Wynn Harris and wife, Stephanie of Lexington; eight grandchildren: Kalie Edwards-Crowder of Summersville, Erin Beth Harris of Elizabethtown, Sarah Houk- Hayes and husband, Jason of Campbellsville, Kaitlyn Edwards-Taylor and husband, Alex of Greensburg, Lacy Harris of Campbellsville, Stephen Houk and wife, Jossie of Greensburg, Mason Harris and Kaden Harris of Lexington. Buddy was also blessed with four four great-grandchildren: Madeline Crowder, Griffin Hayes, Jacob Hayes and Deacon Taylor; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Buddy was also preceded in death by a brother, James Harris.

Gertrude Haynes of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James E. Wright and Lou Elmer Judd Wright, was born August 3, 1926 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 12:55 A.M., Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 93
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to George Lewis Haynes October 10, 1942 and he preceded her in death April 19, 2009.
Gertrude was a loving mother, wife and grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family and loved caring for all children. She took in a niece and nephew as their own after their mother’s passing.
She is survived by two sons: Raymond Lewis Haynes and wife, Mildred and Gordon Haynes of Campbellsville; one daughter-in-law, Suellen Haynes of Louisville; five grandchildren: Chad Haynes and wife, Amanda of Auburn, Amber Hill and husband, Dartanya II of Louisville, Keith Wilcoxson, Jamie Morris and husband, Keith and Ronnie Wilcoxson and wife, Jonie of Campbellsville; twelve great-grandchildren: Arik Haynes, Wesley Haynes and Rebecca Haynes of Auburn, Dartanya Sir Holland Hill, III of Louisville, Jonathan Rogers and wife, Tasha, Kristen Rogers, Lucian Dile, Shreve Dile, Vera Wilcoxson, Jeremy Wilcoxson, Dalton Wilcoxson and wife, Renae and Lakeisha Wilcoxson of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Gertrude was also preceded in death by two sons: Edward Lee Haynes June 28, 2019 and Marvin Haynes July 14, 2017; a foster son, James Wilcoxson and two brothers and two sisters: William Wright, Hop Wright, Beth Shofner and Vera Wilcoxson.
