 Mr. Jackie Lee Underwood of Campbellsville passed from this life on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after a short illness. Born on April 20, 1948 to the late James Underwood and Edna (Mann) Milby, he was 71 years, 9 months, and 12 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. Mr. Underwood was a former assemblyman before becoming disabled, but his best work was in being a Papa to his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
Three children: Gerald “Jerry” Underwood, Roy Williams and wife Trish, and John Williams and wife Kathy, all of Campbellsville,
Two sisters: Joyce Walsh and Sue Underwood,
Seven grandchildren: Jordan, Brandon, Brian, Bret, Wesley, Austin, and Chris,
Five great-grandchildren: Tyler, Emma, Carter, Zander, and Gunnar,
And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Geraldine (Myers) Underwood, and two infant siblings.
Mr. Underwood requested cremation and those arrangements were entrusted to the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville. There will be a memorial service to honor his life on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 161 Snow Lane, Campbellsville, KY. The family will receive friends there from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Mr. Richard McMahan, of Campbellsville, son of the late David Abner McMahan and Lera Blakeman McMahan, was born January 9, 1920, in Green County, KY. He died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Bluegrass Way in Campbellsville, KY, at age 100.
Richard was very civic minded and was active in Kiwanis. He professed faith in Christ and was a founding member of Woodlawn Christian Church, where he served as Elder and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Richard was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was united in marriage with Juanita McKinley on June 26, 1947. She preceded him in death on December 30, 1993.
Richard first worked at his family’s business, McMahan Furniture Company. In the mid-1950s, Richard and Juanita opened McMahan Shoe Store in downtown Campbellsville which operated for 23 years.
He is survived by one daughter, Debbie Rice and husband, Steve; two grandchildren, Mindy Rice, and Andy Rice and wife, Haylie, all of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his special friend, Nellie Campbell and by his seven brothers: Henry, Bruin, Finus, Lester, Clifton, Samuel and Ernest McMahan.
Funeral service for Richard McMahan will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Auberry-Gupton and Chandler Funeral Home with burial to follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2020 until the time of the service.
Family suggests donations to Woodlawn Christian Church.

Terry Poore, daughter of the late William Jackson Horton and Eva Thelma Whisman Horton, was born July 15, 1924 in Lee County, Kentucky. She died at 10:45 A.M., Friday, January 31, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 95
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church where she played the piano for many years.
She was owner and operator of Poore’s Sewing Center and was an excellent seamstress. After retirement she and her husband loved traveling, spending time in Florida, camping, fishing, vending at flea markets and festivals and being an active member of her church. Terry was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who also loved her church family dearly.
She united in marriage to Jesse H. Poore August 26, 1941 and he preceded her in death May 19, 1998.
Terry is survived by one son, Dennis Poore of Arley, Alabama and one daughter, Julia Poore of Greenwood, Indiana; a son-in-law, Jimmie Cable and his wife Judy of Campbellsville; one sister, Janice Smith and her husband, Scott of Beaver Creek, Ohio;
eight grandchildren: Pamela Poore Brannon, David Poore, Christopher Murrah, Kelly Murrah Williams, Jessica Poore Tipton, Gina Wilber, Libby Wright and Misty Hughes; eleven great-grandchildren: Lauren Breza, Margaret “Maggie” Breza, David Breza, Hunter Williams, Jackson Williams, Anna Tipton, Landon Tipton, Jamie Frost, Brittany Mays, Logan Hughes and Lindsey Hughes; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Cable, one son, Dr. Jesse H. Poore, Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Deborah Poore and one great-grandson, T.J. Mays.
For the past 1 ½ years, Terry had lived at Bluegrass Way Assisting Living where she enjoyed the love and companionship of her neighbors and the staff.
