Samuel Joseph Newton, III of Campbellsville, son of the late Samuel Joseph Newton, II and Willa Mae Tuggle Newton, was born December 7, 1955 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:16 P.M., Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in Louisville. Age: 64
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Stoner Creek United Methodist Church.
Samuel was a former employee of Wal-Mart in Campbellsville, a self-taught guitarist who loved Johnny Cash, Elvis and Westerns. He spent the last year in Louisville but he always kept up with Campbellsville news and weather. He always enjoyed children, animals and the farm. He was a true people person who brought joy to everyone he met by always taking the time to smile and speak with them. There was a special bond between him and his brother and sister who will miss him very much.
Samuel is survived by one brother and one sister: John Mark Newton of Columbia and Connie Mae Newton of Campbellsville; Foster-mother, LaDonna Gaddis and family; special friends: the McCawley family of Columbia, Pam Fisher, Lisa Sopha and Shelley Kendall of Campbellsville and Larry Satterly of Louisville; his extended family at Tri-Generation and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Gary Dean Milby of Campbellsville was born on July 28, 1957 to Holland Milby and the late Norman Faye (Collins) Pike. He departed this life on Sunday, January 27, 2020 at his home after a battle with cancer. He was 62 years, 5 months, and 29 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was Campbellsville Baptist Temple. Mr. Milby was a truck driver, driving as long as his health allowed. He drove most recently for WalMart for 7 years, and had pulled for Super Service for 24 years prior to that. He loved listening to music of all genres, watching races (even driving some as a younger man), but was most passionate about the relationships he built with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Marcia (Thompson) Milby,
His father and stepmother: Holland and Patty (Brown) Milby,
Two children: Adam Milby and fiance Sally, and Karen Campbell and husband William,
Three sisters: Sharon Mills and husband Jeff, Shirley Smith and husband Phillip, and Stephanie Vanmeter and husband James,
One beloved granddaughter: Savannah Milby,
And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by three siblings: Cecile Wood, Sharon Wood, and Larry Collins.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Milby on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Jason Keltner will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 29, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Mr. Christopher Allen Van Fossen of Columbia was born in Visalia, California on October 7, 1962. He departed this life on Monday, January 27, 2020 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital, being 57 years, 3 months, and 20 days of age. He was a former Correctional Peace Officer, a believer in Christ, and a cherished husband, father, and grandfather. His love and patience with troubled children helped countless young people improve their lives. He especially enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, and an extremely knowledgeable beekeeper.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Mrs. Sandra (Buck) Van Fossen of Columbia,
His mother: Mrs. June (Bauer) Vollmer of California,
Seven children: Benjamin Van Fossen of Maryland, Jessmyne Rodriguez of California, Victoria Van Fossen and husband Devante of California, Wendy Krauth of Bardstown, Jeremy Savicki of California, Lori Beadle and husband Glen of California, and Eric Savicki of California,
Two sisters: Kimberly Bender and husband Richard, and April Alvarez, all of California,
Seven grandchildren: Serenity, Neveah, Melody, Dante, Saria, Sybrina, and Raelynn,
One great-grandchild: Trenton,
And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his father: Mr. Larry Van Fossen; and a grandson: Dylan.
Mr. Van Fossen had requested that his body be cremated. Those arrangements were entrusted to the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville. There was no public visitation.
