Ronnel Lee Benningfield

Ronnel Lee Benningfield of Campbellsville, son of the late Omer Benningfield and Exie Mae Reynolds Benningfield, was born November 3, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 1:20 A.M., Friday, August 2, 2019 in Campbellsville.    Age:  79
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Ronnel was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.  He had farmed all of his life and enjoyed coon hunting, deer hunting, pheasant hunting and fishing with the grandbabies.
He united in marriage to Imogene Cave June 1, 1957.
Besides his wife, Imogene Benningfield of Campbellsville, he is survived by three sons:  Steve Benningfield and wife, Lea Ann, Ricky Lee Benningfield and Ronnie Ray Benningfield and wife, Charlotte; seven grandchildren:  Craig Benningfield and wife, Bridgette, Steven Craig Benningfield, Jr. and Stephanie Skaggs and husband, Matt of Campbellsville, Sydney Fields and husband, Keith of Greensburg, Stacy Meredith and husband, Drew of Radcliff, Brook Benningfield of Jefferson County and Dustin Benningfield and wife, Allison of Lebanon; three step-grandchildren:  John Wilson and wife, Nancy and Jacob Vaughn of Campbellsville and Jessica Adkins of Elizabethtown; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one brother and five sisters:  Omer Benningfield, Jr. and wife, Juanita, Lula Mae Gupton, Pansy Barnett, Wanda Sue Beck and husband, David and Pauline Judd and husband, Gene of Campbellsville and Lucille Ellis of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Augusta Benningfield and wife, Betty and two brothers-in-law:  Billy Gupton and Billy Ellis.

Anthony “Tony” Edelen, 64

Mr. Anthony Wayne “Tony” Edelen of Campbellsville was born on June 27, 1955 to the late Gus and Flossie (Cox) Edelen. He passed from this life on Friday, August 2, 2019 at his home after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by those he loved.
Mr. Edelen was a family man and had a soft spot for kids and animals. He loved to spend time playing PlayStation or watching NASCAR with them, or teaching them about guns and shooting. His big heart will be dearly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Melissa “Missy” (Hicks) Edelen,
Eight children: Jessica Settles and husband Jeremy of Campbellsville, Caitlyn Bradley and husband Jason of Perryville, and Bret Cowherd and wife Chelse, Klairissa Davis and husband Austin, MaKena Edelen, Aliya Edelen, Ryker Edelen, and Reese Edelen, all of Campbellsville,
Five siblings,
Five grandchildren: Lexi, Kameron, Kadyn, Khloe, and Everly,
A special cousin: Allen Cox of Louisville,
And a host of other family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Edelen on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. Bro. Dickie Rogers will be officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Frances de Sales Cemetery, Spurlington Rd, Campbellsville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 6, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
Memorials are suggested to the funeral expense fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

Dennis Gribbins, 69

Mr. Dennis Michael Gribbins of Campbellsville passed fro this life on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at his home after an extended illness. Born to the late Gilbert and Edna (Walls) Gribbins on September 27, 1949, he was 69 years, ten months, and 4 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. Mr. Gribbins was a veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps, and was a member of the American Legion Post 63 in Nicholasville.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

One son: Michael Todd Gribbins of Lancaster,

A grandson: Levi Gribbins,

A close friend and former spouse: Bernice Obradovich of Lancaster,

And a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Carolyn Huddleston and Kathryn Swafford.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Gribbins on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 1:30 PM at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, 6980 Danville Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356. Bro. Gary Noe will be officiating.
