James “Jimmie” Whitlock Sr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Hon. Robert Henry Whitlock and Carrie Benningfield Whitlock, was born January 20, 1934, in Marion County, Kentucky. He died at 11:41 A.M., Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at his home at the age of 85.
He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Campbellsville.
Jimmie proudly served in the United States Marines as a 1st Lieutenant and Naval Aviator. After graduating with a business degree from the University of Kentucky, he returned to Marion County and served 2 two year terms in District 29 as State Representative and 1 term as Clerk of the House. He was instrumental in developing Community Trust Bank and was CEO for three decades. Jimmie was a 32nd degree Mason and supporter of the Kosair Shriners. He was a member of Campbellsville Country Club and an avid University of Kentucky sports fan. Jimmie will be remembered by his great sense of humor and low key attitude, but most of all his love for family.
In addition to his devoted wife of 42 years, Carolyn Newton Whitlock, he is survived by three sons and one daughter: James Whitlock Jr. and Stephen S. Whitlock of Lexington, Vincent M. Whitlock of Chicago, Illinois, and Elizabeth T. Whitlock of Ligonier, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren and their mother: Delaney N. Whitlock, Haleigh R. Whitlock and Alisa Beth McKinney-Whitlock; step-son, Grant Alan Cox and wife, Karli of Prospect; step-grandchildren: Austin Cox, Ashton Brooke Cox, Grant Alan Cox, Jr. and Guthrie James Cox; three sisters and one brother: Almarine Hickey, Dolores Ann Whitlock, Laura Etta Smith and Admiral (Ret. U. S. Navy) Robert Henry Whitlock, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Dallas, Texas; special friend and caregiver, B.J. Perkins and a hosts of friends and family.
He was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother: Marcella Long and Robert Conway Whitlock.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. James A. Ewing for the
excellent care and friendship provided to Jimmie throughout the years.

 Mr. Harold Baldwin, the son of the late Roland and Stella (Walker) Baldwin, was born Thursday, July 19, 1928 in Adair County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, February 9, 2019 in Hodgenville at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. He was 90 years, 6 months and 22 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith and was a member of the Bible Baptist Tabernacle, and a member of the Saloma #450 Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Baldwin was a lifelong entrepreneur. After earning an associates degree at Campbellsville College, he began his career by selling shoes and candy door to door. Later, he became a stock broker and a coal broker, and worked as an agent for State Farm Insurance Company more than 40 years. He was a Korean Veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He served his community as a Sunday School teacher at Campbellsville Baptist Church, and was a member of the Campbellsville Jaycees and the Optimist Club.
Harold enjoyed watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats and collecting UK memorabilia, and loved sharing time with his grandsons at regular season games, SEC, or NCAA tournaments. He was an avid hunter with his sidekick Jimmy Thompson. He especially enjoyed time on the lake fishing, and could tear up a dance floor doing the jitterbug. Floyd Cramer, Charlie Pride, and The Highwaymen were some of his favorite artists, but he also loved musicals. Campbellsville College’s “The Sound of Music” and Louisville Actors Theater “Patsy Cline” were just two of his favorites. He often relaxed with a Louis LaMour novel or a John Wayne movie.
Survivors include a daughter: Cheryl Lynn Baldwin-Marr and husband H.W. of Cecilia; three grandchildren: Jason Baldwin, Clint Rodgers and wife Elizabeth and Brian Brandon Baldwin; four great-grandchildren; his former wife: Barbara Thompson Baldwin of Campbellsville and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Robin Thomas Baldwin and Brian Gordon Baldwin; two brothers, Eugene Baldwin and Stanley Baldwin; a sister, Bonita Lyons; and a grandson, Christopher Robin “Buzz” Rogers.
The funeral service for Mr. Harold Baldwin will be conducted Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Bro. Danny Baldwin will be officiating.
Interment will follow in the Green River Memorial Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Friday at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.

 Mary Phillips Wilson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Robert Thomas Phillips and Mary Richeson Phillips, was born January 20, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 4:24 A.M., Sunday, February 10, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 89
She professed faith in Christ and was an active member of and Sunday School treasurer for Miller’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Mary was a retail sales clerk at Victor’s and JC Penney’s in Campbellsville, a member of the Taylor County Homemaker’s Club, and she crocheted many baby blankets, afghans and Christmas ornaments.
She united in marriage to Reed Wilson March 29, 1946. He preceded her in death August 6, 2016.
She is survived by two daughters and one son: Debbie Williams, Kathy Ramsey and husband, Mike and Troy Wilson and wife, Patricia of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Kevin Lee Wilson and wife, Tammy, Deanna Gupton and husband, Todd, Michelle Tucker and husband, Frank and J. Ramsey and wife, Millie of Campbellsville; nine great-grandchildren: Allen Wilson, Alex Wilson, Brook Polston, Corey Gupton, Sydney Tucker, Joshua Tucker, Phil Durham, Frankie Tucker and Donald Tucker; seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Margaret Phillips of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, George Williams and three brothers and three sisters: Jim Phillips, Barnes Phillips, Hugh Phillips, Elizabeth Rafferty, Lena Mae Douglas and Lucy Phillips.
