Vickie Lynn Gilpin, 70

Vickie Lynn Gilpin of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James L. and Frances (Shofner) Gilpin, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Baptist Health Hardin Hospital. She was 70 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a retired LPN. She had spent most of her working years tending to the needs of those at the Home of the Innocents, Metzmeier Nursing Home, and the King’s Daughters’ Hospital. Caregiving was a passion of Vickie’s, and her generous and giving heart will be long remembered by all that knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Two children: Melanie Gilpin and Waynaria Sinclair, both of Campbellsville,

Her caregiver and coparent to her children: Debbie Sinclair of Campbellsville,

Aunts: Jane Milby, Viola Watson, and Kaye Hatcher, all of Campbellsville, Sheila Moravec of Texas, and Nevon Wolf of Virginia,

Uncles: Dean Shofner of North Carolina, and Scotty Shofner of Tennessee,

A special niece and nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Herbie Gilpin.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Vickie Lynn Gilpin on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville. Bro John Stilts will officiate. She will be entombed in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Apr. 5, after 11:00 AM until time for the service.

Francisco Escobar Estrada

Francisco Antonio “Panchito” Escobar Estrada, 59, of Lebanon, son of Martina Martinez Estrada and the late Pablo Escobar was born on October 29th, 1965 in Chiapas, Mexico. He departed this life on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 in Louisville.
Francisco united in marriage to Ms. Olivia Keen on September 11th, 2016, she survives. They spent over 20 years together. Francisco worked as a fabricator of barrels at Bardstown Bourbon Barrels. Francisco professed faith in Christ and was a Christian.

Besides his wife and mother, Francisco is survived by:
Ten children: Claudia Ivon Bravo of Illinois; Karen Escobar of Mexico; Francisco Ivan Escobar of Mexico; Paola Escobar of Mexico; Tania Escobar of Mexico; Joseph Bega V of Louisiana; Jesse Bega of Alabama; Jericho Bega of Kentucky; Jinjer Canterbery of Alabama; and Brenda Caal Xona of Kentucky
24 grandchildren
Six brothers and sisters: Flori Escobar Estrada of Oaxaca, Mexico; Isabelle Estrada of Chiapas, Mexico; Olga Escobar Estrada of Guadalajara, Mexico; Trini Escobar Estrada of Guadalajara, Mexico; Pablo Escobar Estrada of Chiapas, Mexico; and Guadalupe Escobar Estrada of Guadalajara, Mexico

W.C. Wright

W.C. Wright of Campbellsville, son of the late William Frankie Wright and Lorena Shofner Wright was born October 2, 1929 in Taylor County.

He died at 7:15 P.M., Friday, March 28, 2025 in Campbellsville. Age 95.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

W.C. was a retired Insurance Adjuster and service manager at Chevrolet Garage. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses, watching Kentucky Basketball, and drag racing at Campbellsville dragway in his younger years.

He united in marriage to Rose Walls Wright on July 29, 1950 and she preceded him in death on October 1, 2021.

W.C. is survived by one daughter, Gayle Skaggs and husband, Jerry of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Adrienne Hash and husband, Griffin of Campbellsville, Scott Davis of Harrodsburg, and Brandee Flick and husband, Alex of Georgetown, Indiana; five great-grandchildren: Gracyne Webb and husband, Dustin, Seth Hash and wife, Chloe, Ivan Flick, Charlotte Flick, and Piper Flick; one great-great-grandchild on the way; and many other relatives and friends.

W.C was also preceded in death by a son, William Wright in infancy; and a sister, Marie Vance.
