Emilie Dowell Antle

Emilie Dowell Antle of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Hallie “H.E.” Dowell and Emma Speer Dowell, was born September 6, 1933, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:45 P.M., Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 84
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church where she was both saved and baptized, active in the Barbara Dabney Sunday School class, WMU and GA programs and for many years, taught Sunday School. Sending cards to people in her community during a time of need was a personal ministry of hers.
Emilie was a teacher’s aide and clerical assistant for many years.
She united in marriage to Veachel Antle July 19, 1952 and he preceded her in death July 10, 2012.
She is survived by two sons and three daughters: Barry Antle and wife, Becky, Stephen Antle, Rita Antle, Lyndi Tarter and husband, Mike and LeDean Antle all of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Gary Lynn Beard of Campbellsville, Justin Durrett of Greensburg, Kristen Bellah and husband, Bill of Bardstown, Jeff Antle and wife, Christen of Lexington, Greg Long and wife, Amanda of Campbellsville, Chris Tarter and wife, Jenna of Bowling Green and Ann Morgan Macdonald and husband, Adam of Millington, Tennessee; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Sue Dowell and Margaret Dowell of Campbellsville; two special care givers: Betty Smith and Pat Roution of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory Ray Antle October 27, 1959; three brothers: Tommy Dowell, Ernest Lee Dowell and James “Chunky” Dowell.

Neva Jean Clark, age 84

Neva Jean Clark, 84 years, 8 months and 5 days of age, of Campbellsville, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at her home after an extended illness.

Neva Jean Clark was born in Campbellsville on February 19, 1933 the daughter of the late William Louis and Loretta Herron Payton.   She was also preceded in death on January 11, 2002 by her husband, Herbert Thomas Clark.  Two brothers, Edward Arnold Payton and Dallas Milford Payton also preceded her in death.

She retired from Fruit of the Loom after 43 years and was an active member at Robinson Creek Baptist Church and loved studying her Bible.

Neva Jean is survived by a brother, Louis Samuel Payton and his companion Sue Smith of Lake City, FL, a sister, Juanita Claywell, nephew Dallas Michael Payton, niece, Carolyn Vanover and her husband Danny, step children, Timmy Clark and Kim and Donna Clark all of Campbellsville.    Also surviving are two step grand-children, Jackie and Kenny Fair and 3 step great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Neva Jean Clark will be Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Collison officiating with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.   Visitation will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 5-8 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral home.

Terry Cox, age 66

Terry Cox, 66 years, 3 months and 16 days of age, formerly of Taylor County, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at his home in Mt. Washington after an extended illness.

Terry was born July 8, 1951 the son of the late Robert and Evonne Gribbin Cox in Marion County, Kentucky.    Also preceding him in death was a sister Bonnie Ford.    For 32 years Terry worked for Ford Motor Company in Louisville.   In his spare time, he loved to fish, travel and was an avid gun collector and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Terry is survived by his wife Audrey Cox of Mt. Washington, a daughter, Jamie Lynn Myers and her husband Perry Myers of Shepherdsville and a son, Terry Allen Cox and his wife, Brooke of Elizabethtown.   Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Travis Myers, Megan Myers, Anna-Kate Cox and Olivia Cox.    One sister survives LaJuan Sweasy and husband Jackie of Frankfort and a brother, Tony Cox and his wife Jill of Owensboro.

A graveside service for Mr. Cox will be on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Tallow Creek Cemetery with Bro. Don Gowin officiating.
