David Cable

David Cable of Campbellsville, son of the late John B. Cable and Mary Ellen Cave Cable, was born October 13, 1951, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 2:40 P.M., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Louisville. Age: 65
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church where he served 28years working as a Custodian, Sunday School Teacher, Trustee and Deacon.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army. After returning from his tour of duty in the army, David spent the next 45 years working at Green River Ford, Alex Montgomery and Don Franklin in the parts departments.
David lived a life of dedication and devotion, a life firmly grounded in his walk with Christ as made manifest in the generosity and loyalty he gave to his relationships with his family and friends. David was deeply committed to his wife, Debbie and their son, Jason. His life was one of discipline and purpose; balanced with compassion and a fun loving, upbeat, optimistic spirit.
He loved the Louisville Cardinals, Richard Petty and Nascar.
David united in marriage to Debbie Swafford May 11, 1974.
Besides his wife, Debbie Cable, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Cindy Cable; one granddaughter, Mariah Cable; two step-granddaughters: Megan Shively and Sydney Shively; one step great-grandson, KeKe Miller, all of Campbellsville; two brothers and one sister: Thomas Lee Cable and wife, Vicky of Atlanta, Georgia, John D. Cable and wife, Debby of Bowling Green and Anna Sue Wheatley and husband, Cleve of Campbellsville;
several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Hilda Mae Johnson Cleaver, 85

Mrs. Hilda Mae (Gribbons) Johnson Cleaver of Campbellsville entered into rest on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at her home after an extended illness. Born on May 5, 1932 to the late Roy and Leena (Childers) Gribbons, she was 85 years, 4 months, and 30 days of age. Mrs. Cleaver graduated from Campbellsville College and was a retired LPN with over 17 years of service at Medco and over 5 years at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Her husband of nearly 26 years: Larry Cleaver, Sr. of Campbellsville,

Five children: Beverly Johnson Cox of Campbellsville, Timothy Johnson of Campbellsville, Charlie Wayne Cleave and wife Beverly of Indiana, Larry Wayne Cleaver, Jr. of Indiana, and Kathy Danaham and husband Tom of Illinois,

Six grandchildren,

A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren,

And several other family and close friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by four sisters, Pearl Garrett, Lula Bright, Jean Hughes, and Mildred Payne; and two grandchildren, Michael Johnson and Joseph Johnson; a great-grandchild, Kasey Michelle Upchurch; and a daughter-in-law, Nadine Johnson.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Cleaver on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Rev. Kathy Danaham will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery, Saloma Rd, Campbellsville, KY.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Denesa Veatch

Denesa Veatch of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Caleb Harlin Burton and Imogene Pendleton Burton, was born March 21, 1963, in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 8:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 54
She professed faith in Christ and attended Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. She was very crafty and even more so around the holidays, but her grandkids were her true passion.
Denesa united in marriage to Bobby Veatch May 1, 1981.
Besides her husband, Bobby Veatch of Campbellsville, she is survived by one son and one daughter: Blake Veatch and Whitney Veatch; three grandchildren: Graeson Veatch, Kyndall Wood and Jax Veatch; one brother and one sister: Jimmy Burton and wife, Julie and Donna Bryant and husband, Dickie of Columbia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Harlin Burton.
