Mary Catherine Williams, of Campbellsville died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Elizabethtown at Hardin Memorial Hospital following an illness at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 24 days. She was born on November 6, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky to the late Charlie Murphy and Mary Harlean Edwards Davis.
Known as Aunt Kai, by many, she retired from Fruit of the Loom after 23 years of service. She was a member of Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary Board.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Ernest Williams, Sr. on November 27, 2014; a son, Walter L. Williams, a daughter, Dorothy Ann Williams, a granddaughter, Temigi Scott and a brother, Charles Davis.
She is survived by her children, Chester Ernest Williams, Jr. and his wife, Patricia Mae, Barbara Williams, George Thomas Williams, James “J.D.” Williams, Lisa Scott and her husband, Mike and Stephanie Williams White, all of Campbellsville, Mary Elizabeth Williams, of Radcliff and Terry Keith Williams of Anderson, Indiana; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Susie Lee Hardin, Joe Davis, Rose Spencer and Ruth Ann Davis, all of Indianapolis, Ida Smith and her husband, Garfield of Richmond, James Davis and his wife, Sara of Atlanta and Marie Tardy of DeRidder, Louisiana.
Funeral services for Mary Catherine Williams will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5th at the Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church with the eulogy by Rev. Michael Caldwell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family request visitation on Tuesday at the church prior to the service after 11:00 a.m.
Serving as pallbearers are Dwaron Williams, Anthony Williams, Terrill Williams, Robert Porter, Dayton Williams, Phil Williams, James Johnson and Eddie Hazelwood.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Ben L. “Bengy” Bright, age 49 years, 11 months, of Campbellsville, died on Monday, August 28, 2017, in Campbellsville.
He was born on September 28, 1967, the son of the late Daniel Lloyd and Peggy June Rakes Bright. A mechanic at Sapp’s Diesel, he enjoyed doing body work and painting cars in his spare time. He also loved spending time with his 4 grandchildren.
Bengy is survived by his wife, Melissa Ann Winkler Bright, a daughter, Brittany Rainwater and her husband Jason and four grandchildren, Briley Sapp, Colton Sapp, Caleb Rainwater and Reagan Rainwater all of Campbellsville.
Funeral Services for Ben L. “Bengy” Bright will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Fellow Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Green River Memorial Cemetery with casket bearers being, Troy Coomer, Jared Coomer, Gary Robertson, Rudy Rucker, Stacy Loy and Tim Tungate.
The family request visitation on Thursday, August 31, from 5-8 p.m. at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Mr. Larry Junior Cox of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Born on July 31, 1951 to the late L.A. and Helen (Dudgeon) Cox, he was 66 years and 27 days of age. Mr. Cox professed faith in Christ and was a member of Farmers Chapel Church of God. He was a truck driver and retired from RoadWay Freight with several million safely-driven miles behind him. He loved his family and being around people, and was a regular at Druther’s Restaurant.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Peggy (Price) Cox of Campbellsville,
One son: Michael Cox and wife Amanda of Greensburg,
A sister and brother: Wanda Cox of Campbellsville, and Tim Cox and wife Tammy of Indianapolis, Indiana,
Two grandchildren: Reece Cox and Briley Cox, both of Greensburg,
A brother-in-law: Bobby Price and wife Monica of Campbellsville,
A sister-in-law: Beverly Davis of Campbellsville,
And a host of extended family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by three siblings, Barbara Cowherd, Chris Pile, and Terry Cox, and a sister-in-law, Janet Campbell.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Cox on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Colin McDaniel will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 29, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST (4:00-7:00 CST).
