Larry Rondal DeWitt, known by many as “Ronnie”, age 73, of Campbellsville died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Elizabethtown.
Larry was born June 16, 1944 to the late Dollie and Lona (Skaggs) Dewitt. A brother, Michael, also preceded him in death.
He was the former owner of Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville and Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home in Lebanon. Prior to his career in funeral service, he served in the U.S. Army and saw duty in Viet Nam where he was awarded the Purple Heart. A Kentucky Colonel, his memberships included Campbellsville Baptist Church, the Rotary Club, the Chamber of Commerce, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his four children, Allan DeWitt and his wife, Kym of Woodburn, Tonya Money and her husband, Scott, of Elizabethtown, Jef DeWitt of Louisville and Tara Bland and her husband, Chris of Elizabethtown, eight grandchildren, Jacob Taylor, Joshua Taylor and his wife, Katie, Jordan and Emileigh DeWitt, Grace and Gabi Sutherland and Levi and Hallie Bland, one great-granddaughter, Ava Taylor and a sister, Erlene Lawson, of Campbellsville.
Funeral services for Larry DeWitt, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22nd at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Dr. James Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Separate Church Cemetery.
The family requests visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Darrell Glen Tedder, 59, went home to be with his savior, unexpectedly, on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at his home in Lexington, South Carolina.
He leaves behind his three sons: Jonathan, Justin, and Jacob Tedder of Lexington, South Carolina, along with two sisters: Wanda Benningfield of Louisville, Kentucky, Helen Gribbons of Campbellsville, Kentucky, and his brothers: Kenny Bandy of Louisville, Kentucky, and Walter Helms of Campbellsville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie Hancock, Ethel Graham, Kathleen White, and Rosie Gribbons.
Darrell was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky, to the late Robert Glenn Tedder and Anna Lou Bottoms. Suffering the loss of his mother at the young age of 4, he was taken in and raised by the late Leonard and Hazel Barnes, who raised and treated him as if he was their son. He was married to Donna Dorsey in 1981 with whom he was blessed with 3 sons.
He graduated high school from Campbellsville High School in 1976. From an early age, he developed a hard work ethic working many different jobs at local restaurants, bowling allies, and service stations. His entry into the medical field began while working as an EMT for Campbellsville Fire and Rescue. He continued to work as a paramedic for Louisville Fire and Rescue where he achieved the rank of captain and was given the responsibility of being the head paramedic in Ronald Reagan’s motorcade and was awarded supervisor of the year. He received his associate’s degree from the University of Kentucky in Nursing. He used his nursing degree to work in many different settings such as surgery centers, hospital, and as a flight nurse.
As a paramedic and a nurse, he had a passion for helping people and continued to do that up until the day he passed away through working for Lexington Medical Center. His passion for helping those that were sick also extended beyond work to those that needed help in their homes without hesitation.
Outside of work, he enjoyed sports and the outdoors. He loved coaching the sports teams that his children participated in and spent the last 10 years working around baseball as an umpire. At home, he enjoyed working in the yard, watching the Atlanta Braves and the University of Kentucky, and working on perfecting his recipe for grilling ribs for his boys. He also enjoyed photography and liked to photograph teams and different sporting events.
Darrell accepted the Lord at the age of 9 and enjoyed attending gospel music concerts and participating in Easter dramas at the church. His greatest pride and joy in life was his three sons. He cared deeply for them and loved them with all he had. We love you.
Services are being held by Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, South Carolina Officiating are Pastor Robert Jumper of Lexington SC, and music provided by Pastor Dan Rabon of Cayce, South Carolina and Joe Hollingsworth, of Memphis Tennessee.
Graveside service was held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Brookside Cemetery.

Louise Polley of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Harrison and Gertha Cox Harrison, was born April 10, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:38 A.M., Monday, July 17, 2017 in Louisville. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Temple.
Louise was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She was a member of the Campbellsville Red Hatters “Hattitude” Club, the Taylor County Homemakers and the Ladies’ Auxiliary Post No. 82 American Legion.
She united in marriage to William Kean October 19, 1991 and he preceded her in death May 13, 2009.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter: Charles Polley and wife, Donna of Lebanon, James Robert Polley of Louisville, Albert Polley and wife, Patsy of Liberty and Connie Chelf and husband, Greg of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Laura Carter of Pensacola, Florida, T.J. Franklin and wife, Margaret of Portland, Tennessee, Jennifer Bell and husband, Robbie, and Ashley Akin of Campbellsville, and Terra Verdi and husband, Mike of Elizabethtown; nine great-grandchildren: Janna Tungate, Ryan Tungate, and Kayden Bell of Campbellsville, Kelsi Carter of New Albany, Indiana, Wyatt Carter of Pensacola, Florida, Caleb Buchanon, Brittany Wren, and Addy Wren of Elizabethtown, and D.J. Franklin of Portland, Tennessee; two step-grandchildren: Brandy Chelf, and Scott Chelf and wife, Brandy of Campbellsville; one brother, Charles Harrison and wife, Wanda of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Dennis Akin; two sisters and one brother: Lillian Perkins, Wilma Sue Miller, and Bernard Harrison.
