William Fred Simpson, Jr. 72

Mr. William Fred “J.R.” Simpson, Jr. of Campbellsville passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at his home after an illness. Born in Adair County to the late William Fred, Sr. and Edith Mae (Ward) Simpson, he was 72 years, 3 months, and 26 days of age. Mr. Simpson was a dairy farmer and the owner and operator of Simpson Fence Company. He professed faith in Christ, and enjoyed being outdoors hunting and working in God’s creation.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

His wife: Joyce (Dile) Simpson of Campbellsville,

Two daughters: Carol Jean Brown and Bridgette Denise Jones, both of Campbellsville,

Two sisters: Barbara Stewart and husband Mark Maher of Tennessee, and Faye Faulkner and husband Boogie of Campbellsville,

A close brother-in-law: James “Logan” Dile of Campbellsville,

Three grandchildren,

Four great-grandchildren,

And a host of other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Joyce Elaine Simpson, and a granddaughter, Tara Simpson Lamer.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Simpson on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Interment will be in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 8, after 12:00 noon until time for the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the American Heart Association. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.

Mary Catherine Sebastion

Mary Catherine Sebastion, age 81, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Sebastion, Vickie and Eddie Hazelwood and Mary Wood all of Campbellsville, and Sharon Sebastion of Illinois and one step-daughter, Janet Haskins of Munfordville. Four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive. She is also survived by three brothers, William Henry Taylor of Louisville, Randy and Helen Taylor of Campbellsville, Lloyd Estes of Indianapolis and a brother-in-law, Reverend Gerald Joiner of Louisville. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sebastion will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 10, 2017, at the First Baptist Church with burial in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family request visitation after 11:00 A.M. until time of the services on Monday at the First Baptist Church.

Carl Wethington

Carl Wethington of Campbellsville, son of the late Jim Wethington and Ruby Coffman Wethington, was born on May 2, 1939, in Casey County, Kentucky. He died at 1:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 77
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God.
He was a retired independent truck driver with Green River Gate Company in Casey County.
Carl united in marriage to JoAnn Cochran Bowlin January 26, 2002.
Besides his wife, JoAnn Bowlin Wethington of Campbellsville, he is survived by one step-daughter, Pam Ewing and husband, Jimmy; two step-grandchildren: Shelby Ewing and Ries Ewing of Campbellsville; one brother and one sister: Roger Wethington and Betty Davis and husband, Norman of Liberty; one sister-in-law, Sandra Wethington of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Wethington and Wendell Wethington.
