D. W. Crawley, Jr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Dennis Wilmore Crawley, Sr. and Isla Mae Hunt Crawley, was born August 9, 1929, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:36 A.M., Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 87
He professed faith in Christ and was a life-time member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon for sixty years.
Dennis retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and was a former co-owner of Superior Radio in Lebanon, Kentucky.
He was known as being a very caring, loving and generous person with his time and he ministered to numerous people in his church and community. He and Sarah Laverne opened their home and were affectionately known as “Mom and Pop”.
He united in marriage to Sarah Laverne Gupton April 10, 1950.
Besides his wife, Sarah Laverne Gupton Crawley of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons: Doug Crawley and wife, Debra, of Richmond Hill, Georgia and Tim Crawley and wife, Joyce, of Prospect; one son-in-law, Terry Joe Stone and wife, Jeri, of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren: Kim Arnold and husband, Steve, of Campbellsville; Kelly Joe Stone and wife, Dr. Monica Stone, of Greensburg; Daniel Crawley and wife, Amanda, of Benton; Dyanna Jenkins and husband, Cody, of Charlotte, North Carolina; Danae Crawley of Charlotte, North Carolina; Brooke Cotton and husband, Chris, of Louisville; Austin Crawley and fiancée, Elena Bertuccio, Cody Crawley and Tyler Crawley of Prospect; nine great-grandchildren: Chelsey Stone, Chandler Jenkins, Claire Jenkins, Carter Jenkins, Thomas Stone, Jake Stone, Lila Stone, Jillian Crawley and Joycelyn Crawley; two brothers: J. B. Crawley and Sam Crawley and wife, Kaye, of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law, Herbert England of Campbellsville; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Gerri Stone; two sisters: Elizabeth England and Rebecca Beams; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Crawley and Margaret Crawley and one brother-in-law, Dennis Beams.

Watson, William Robert “Bob”, age 85

William Robert “Bob” Watson, age 85, of Lebanon, KY,  died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at his home after an illness.

Bob was born June 4, 1932 the son of the late James Blaine and Hannie “Dellie” Feese Watson in Adair County, Kentucky.    Also preceding him in death was a brother, Walter Christian Watson and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Watson Gossett and Cordie Lee Watson Thompson.      For over 30 years he worked at Independent Stave and Bourbon Cooperage.   In his spare time, you would often find him fishing or hunting.    He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He married Lillian Ethel Davis and to this union was born four daughters and two sons, Sharon Watson Salyer of Cox’s Creek, Robert Watson and his wife Kathy of Louisville, Sandra Watson Strong and her husband James of Lebanon, William W. Watson and his wife Robin of St. Joe, Charlene Watson Williams and her husband Michael of Lebanon and Vickie Watson of Shepherdsville.    Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 10 great grand-children.

Funeral Services for William Robert “Bob” Watson will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Blevins officiating.   Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 with burial to follow in Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia, Kentucky.     Casket bearers are, Josh Williams, Chris Williams, Rance Watson, Justin Watson, Robbie Watson and Matthew Salyer.

Donation are requested to be Hosparus of Green River and may be made at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Velma Sue Stocton

Velma Sue Stocton, age 61, of Campbellsville, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Taylor Regional Hospital after a sudden illness.

Velma was born on April 24, 1956 in Russell County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Jesse James and Velma Lee Bray Stocton.    Also preceding her in death was her son, Kevin James Stocton and one sister, Carolyn Mann.  She was of the Christian faith.

Velma is survived by two grandchildren, Kevin Richard Stocton of Campbellsville and Trevor Mattingly of St. Mary’s, Kentucky.    Also surviving are her three sisters, Ruby Stocton of Campbellsville, Mertie Thomas, and Becky Owens and her husband (Scott) of Russell Springs, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 16th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with cremation to follow.  The family requests visitation after 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 16th until time for the funeral.
