Lewis “Sie” Parrish

Lewis “Sie” Parrish of Campbellsville, son of the late Hance Parrish and Maggie Pearl Aaron Parrish, was born on May 29, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:16 A.M., Sunday, March 5, 2017 in Columbia. Age: 84
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.
Sie was a member of the National Watch and Clock Collectors Association for more than forty years. He loved basketball and had attended approximately forty State tournaments.
He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and a farmer.
He united in marriage to Jenetta Davidson July 3, 1953.
Besides his wife, Jenetta Parrish of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Larry Gilpin of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Miranda Zottman and husband, Corey and Aaron Gilpin and wife, Meredith of Campbellsville; two great-grandsons, John Zottman and Jack Zottman of Campbellsville; one brother, Hiestand Parrish of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters: Otis Parrish, James Parrish, Mary Keltner, Louanna Cox, Margie Parrish and Leva Pike.

Evelyn Cox Mardis of Louisville, formerly of Lebanon, daughter of the late Charles B. Wooley, Sr. and Goldia Wayman Wooley, was born April 14, 1930, in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 4:45 P.M., Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Louisville. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lebanon Christian Church.
Evelyn united in marriage to Edward P. Cox who preceded her in death in 1978 and Harold Morris who preceded her in death in 2001. She later united in marriage to John P. Mardis who preceded her in death in 2012.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Terry Cox and wife, Cathy of McMinnville, Tennessee and Anita Giangregorio and husband, Carmine of Lynn, Massachusetts; seven step-children; two grandchildren: Aaron M. McCarty of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Tara Cox Johnson and husband, James of McMinnville, Tennessee; two great-grandchildren: Haley Johnson and Landon Johnson of McMinnville, Tennessee; one brother and one sister: Charles B. Wooley, Jr. and wife, Sandy and Nancy Wooley Maas of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Frank “Junk Man” Walker, 71

Mr. Frank R. “Junk Man” Walker of Knifley was born in Louisville on April 28, 1945 to the late Bernard and Josephine (Vitt) Walker. He departed this life on Friday, March 3, 2017 at his residence after an extended illness. While proud of his Catholic upbringing, he was also a faithful member of the Knifley Christian Church. He was a former service technician for the RC Cola Company and several chemical companies, and his mechanical side loved to tinker, fix, and build things. Mr. Walker was called to duty in the United States Navy and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

His wife of 53 years: Joyce (Kavich) Walker of Knifley,

Four children: Angela Hoke and companion Walter Brangers of Radcliff, Pamela Wilkerson and husband Brad Cook of Lebanon, TN, Robin Piercy and husband David of Columbia, and Rusty Walker and wife Linda of Knifley,

A goddaughter: Jessie Nunez and husband Joseph of Campbellsville,

One sister: Winston Churchill Buckler of Georgia,

Ten grandchildren,

Two great-grandchildren,

Close friends: Bill, Ronnie, and Jerry,

And a host of other friends and family.

He was also preceded in death by five siblings, Dorothy “Dolly” Walker, Helen Peckinpaugh, Joseph Stalin Walker, Bernard Edward Walker, and Leonard Walker.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Walker on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 12:00 PM EST/11:00 AM CST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Hugh Withers will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 5, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST/4:00-7:00 PM CST.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the Knifley Christian Church or Kosair Children’s Hospital. Those may be made in person at the funeral home.
