Mr. Daulton Glenn Turpin of Campbellsville passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Lexington. Born in Taylor County on February 21, 1994 to Rodney Glenn and Lisa C. Turpin, he was 23 years and 1 day of age. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethel First Presbyterian Church. Daulton was a graduate of Taylor County High School and continued his education at Western Kentucky University and Georgetown College. As a natural athlete, he was a free spirit and a warrior for hire, and loved to hunt and fish.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His parents: Rodney and Lisa Turpin of Campbellsville,
One brother: Lance Taylor Turpin of Lexington,
His grandparents: Karen Sue King-Sibley of Hustonville, Glen H. Turpin of Waynesburg, and Sue Black Turpin of Lincolnton, North Carolina,
Great grandparents: Margie Black of Lincolnton, North Carolina, and Arnold Wicher of Hustonville,
Two special uncles: Brian Turpin of Campbellsville, and Jack Judy of Hustonville,
And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Morton Taylor Judy, and his step-great grandfather, Kevin “Poppy” Sibley.
There will be a memorial service to honor Daulton’s life on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 7:00 PM EST in the old Taylor County High School gymnasium, 300 Ingram Ave, Campbellsville, KY. The family will receive friends at the gymnasium on Monday after 5:00 PM EST until time for the service, and will resume immediately after. Bro. Jim Murphy and Bro. Haywood Riner will be officiating.

Mrs. Dorothy Mae “Dot” Jenkins Parson of Campbellsville was born in Greensburg on February 25, 1930 to the late Lucian and Mayme (Bagby) McKinney. She departed this life on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center after an extended illness. She was 87 years, 11 months, and 29 days of age. Mrs. Parson professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She also attended the Faith Union Baptist Church with her husband, Wayne Parson, as often as her health allowed. She was a fierce Canasta player and a talented guitar player and pianist. She enjoyed staying active and danced as much as possible. Mrs. Parson was a former employee of the Fruit of the Loom factory in Campbellsville, and also worked in the laundry department at the Medco Nursing Home.
She leaves to mourn her passing:

Two daughters: Shelia Jenkins Perkins and husband Ralph of Green County, and Rita Jenkins Thompson and husband Roger D. of Larue County,
A stepdaughter: Kim Parson Thompson and husband Greg of Campbellsville,
Ten grandchildren: Brian Bradshaw, Carisa Bradshaw, Vanessa Underwood and husband Anthony, Jessica Bingham and husband Jason, Jeremy Holstin, Paige Cook and husband Daniel, Bailey Thompson, Tayler Thompson, Chloe Thompson, and Candace Thompson,
Five great-grandchildren,
And a host of other family and close friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Holstin; a stepson, Tim Parson; and a sister, Marie McKinney Paxton.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Parson on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Randall Underwood will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery, 525 Temperance Rd, Greensburg, KY.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 25, after 5:00 PM EST.

James L. “Jim” Woodard of Campbellsville, son of the late Wiley Evert Woodard and Fredas Byers Woodard, was born in Truman, Arkansas, January 10, 1936. He died at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Romulus Church of God in Romulus, Michigan.
Second only to his love for family and the joy he took in providing for them was the enjoyment he got while hunting and fishing.
He united in marriage to Mabel Ison November 2, 1954.
Jim spent 31 years working for the General Motors Company.
Besides his wife of 62 years, Mabel Woodard, he is survived by two sons and one daughter: James Woodard of Campbellsville, Jeanna Rae White and husband, Ronnie of Clare, Michigan and David Mark Woodard and wife, Marlene of Hamburg, Michigan; three brothers and three sisters: Carl Woodard of Auburn Hills, Michigan, Floyd Woodard and wife, Stella of Campbellsville, Vonnie Logan of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Ted Woodard of Madison Heights, Michigan, Marcia Nimmie and Debbie Mikulin and husband, Steve of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
