Conrad Ford of Campbellsville, son of the late Dewey Ford and Lottie Mae Callahan Ford, was born January 16, 1942 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 7:17 A.M., Tuesday, July 22, 2025 in Campbellsville. Age: 83
He professed faith in Christ.
Conrad was a retired mechanic.
He united in marriage to Alma Waymon December 29, 1961.
Besides his wife, Alma Ford of Campbellsville, Conrad is survived by one son and three daughters: Greg Ford and wife, Margaret of Catawba, North Carolina, Trena Lile and husband, Marty of Campbellsville, Rhonda Amburn and husband, William of Pine Hall, North Carolina and Kim Grooms and husband, Rob of Plainfield, Illinois; eight grandchildren: Shana Lile, Jeremy Lile, Holly Smith, Jack Grooms, Gregory Allen Ford, Justin Ford, Adam Ford and Sandon Ford; eight great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: Lyndsey Ford, Anna Gillock and Wanda Pike of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers: John Ford, Mac Ford and Bobby Joe Ford.

Mr. James Kevin Wright of Summersville, son of Jamie Mae (Jaggers) Wright and the late Bernie Edward “Buddy” Wright, was born in Ft. Carson, Colorado on December 10, 1962. He departed this life on Sunday, July 20, 2025 in Lexington at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was 62 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was non-denominational in his beliefs. Mr. Wright was a talented bodyman and was the owner of Wright’s Rebuildables. If you knew him, you loved him – and he knew many, many people. His genuine kindness and good heart glued his family together, and that love will continue to hold them together.
He leaves to mourn his passing:

Three children: Christa Wright and companion Robert Johnston, Jacob Warf and companion Jill Christian, and Paige Warf and companion Joseph Dye,

Twelve cherished grandchildren: Madison Kelley, Meghan Santiago, Addy Wright, Aiden Forbes, Lilly Hicks, Logan Pulley, Bryson Johnston, Karma Dye, Emma Stevenson, Reylee Johnston, Kevin Cole Dye, and Sophia Stevenson,
Three great-grandchildren,
Five sisters-in-law: Karen Pulley and husband Mike, Vickie Webb, Alicia Webb, Barbara Boils and husband Gillis, and Sissie Bennett and husband Eugene,
And countless other extended family members and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Kevin Wright on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM EDT (12:00 PM CDT) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Aetna Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 23, from 10:00 AM EDT (9:00 AM CDT) until time for the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the funeral expenses. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.

Jesse Shelton “John” Smothers of Campbellsville, the son of the late Jesse and Lillian (Gribbins) Smothers, was born July 9, 1945 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at his home. He was 80 years of age.
He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Faith Union Baptist Church.
He was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army National Guard and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and a bus driver for the Taylor County School System.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters: Ricky Smothers, Nancy Lemmon and Dorothy Newton.
Survivors include his wife: Dianne Kay (Bradshaw) Smothers of Campbellsville; a daughter: Eleasia Radcliff and husband Chris of New Castle, Indiana; a son: Mark Smothers of Campbellsville.
Also surviving is a sister: Geneva Persun of Magnolia; eight grandchildren: Dustin Ibarra (Kaleb), Dalton Smothers, Alyssa Wethington (Dustin), Melina Smothers, Samuel Smothers, Nicholas Radcliff (Sarah Jo), Colton Radcliff (Rosie) and MacKenzie Radcliff; a great-grandson: Ryan Wethington and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Jesse Shelton “John” Smothers will be Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery with Military Honors.
Bro. Donnie Warren and Bro. Nathan Rayburn will be officiating.
Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
