James “Jimmy” Franklin of Lexington, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Claude Franklin and Rena Belle Shipp Franklin, was born December 18, 1935, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 9:25 A.M., Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Lexington.
Age: 80
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church.
He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and a farmer.
He united in marriage to Norma Jean Barnett October 5, 1957
Besides his wife, Norma Jean Franklin of Lexington, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Kaye and Brian Hinton of Campbellsville; one grandson, Brandon Skaggs and wife, April of Lexington; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Reese Skaggs of Lexington; one sister, Frances Franklin of Blacklick, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
James was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Charles “Cotton” Franklin, Junior Franklin, Betty Sharp and Virginia Bear.

G. T. Leach of Campbellsville, son of the late G. T. Leach, Sr. and Ina Hurt Leach, was born October 17, 1935, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 3:10 P.M., Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Lexington. Age: 81
He professed faith in Christ and attended First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp.
He was a retired employee of McMahan Furniture Company in Campbellsville.
He united in marriage to Margie McMahan April 5, 1957.
Besides his wife, Margie Leach of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Michelle Leach of Campbellsville; one granddaughter, Brianne Mingey and husband, Seth of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one sister, Paula Shively of Campbellsville; one niece, Sherry Gabehart of Campbellsville; two great-nephews: Bear Gabehart of Versailles and Patric Gabehart of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.

Richard M. “Buster” French, age 81, of Campbellsville, died Monday, December 12, 2016 at the home of his sister following an illness.
Buster was born October 13, 1935 in Taylor County to the late Charlie and Lissie Harris French. Also, preceding him in death was a son, David Richard French, a brother, Bobby French, a half sister, Mildred Shuffett and a nephew, David Ford.
Over the years, he worked as a carpenter as well as working part-time at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home. Buster was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by two brothers, Clifford French of Campbellsville and Garnett French of Ohio and one sister, Betty Wilson of Campbellsville. Several nieces and nephews survive as well as a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
The family requests visitation from 10 a.m. until time for the service at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
