Cora Whitley of Glasgow, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Samuel Frank Murphy and Mildred Wethington Murphy, was born in Casey County, Kentucky, June 9, 1911. She died at 6:55 P.M., Friday, January 3, 2003, in Glasgow. Age: 91She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.She united in marriage to Rev. Wilbur C. Whitley December 16, 1934. He preceded her in death February 24, 1985.She is survived by one daughter and one son and their spouses: Joyce and Billy Hendrick of Louisville and Rodger and Shirley Whitley of Glasgow; five grandchildren: Vickie Scholl of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Timmy Hendrick of Louisville, Scotty Hendrick of Atlanta, Connie Reader of Glasgow, and Markus Whitley of Nashville; seven great-grandchildren: Jeremy Scholl and Elizabeth Scholl of Indiana, Jacob Nunn, Nicholas Reader, and Christopher Reader of Glasgow, and Brooke Hendrick and Bryan Hendrick of Louisville; two sisters: Lucille Whited and Beulah Woodrum of Indiana; several other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Owen Virgil Murphy, Joseph Roy Murphy, Coy Murphy, Murl Murphy, Mary A. Beauford Lemmon of Spurlington Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Hiram Lemmon and Edna Ethel Montgomery Lemmon was born October 24, 1935, in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 6:42 A.M., Wednesday, December 25, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 67.He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.He united in marriage to Nancy Smothers December 18, 1954. Besides his wife, Nancy Lemmon of Spurlington Road, Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sherrye Lemmon of Nancy, one granddaughter, Madison Lemmon of Nancy, two sisters and three brothers: Agnes Sharp of Pewee Valley, Dorothy Lemmon and Ralph Lemmon of Campbellsville, Graham Lemmon of Freeport, Ohio, and Wesley Lemmon of Las Vegas; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 28th, at the Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Kathryn Phillips Shuffett of Chestnut Street, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Robert W. Edwards and Christine Edrington Edwards, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 15, 1928. She died at 1:17 A.M., Wednesday, December 25, 2002, in Elizabethtown. Age: 74She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a Taylor County Court Clerk Deputy and was a retired employee of the Taylor County Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation. She currently was a bus monitor with the Taylor County School System.She is survived by one son and three daughters: Robert Desha Phillips of Minnesota and Connie Phillips Houk, Nora Christine Shuffett, and Mary Kathryn Steward of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren: Robert Jason Houk and Jacob Desha Houk of Indiana, Jeremy Wayne Houk, Joshua David Houk, Amber Jade Shuffett, and William Dalton Steward of Campbellsville, and Zachary Desha Phillips and Travis Collin Phillips of Minnesota; three great-grandchildren: Nicholette Angeline Houk and Quenton Jason Houk of Indiana and Joshua Wyatt Houk of Campbellsville; one sister, Georgia Rodgers of Atlanta; several other relatives and many friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Anderson Desha Phillips and one brother and one sister: Jim R.
