Aileen Beams, of the Mac Community in Taylor County, daughter of the late Alfred Thomas Underwood and Gertrude Bloyd Underwood, was born April 13, 1923, in Larue County, Kentucky. She died at 12:34 P.M., Tuesday, December 3, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 79.She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher.She was retired from the Fruit of the Loom Company after some thirty-five years of service.She united in marriage to Lionel C. Beams December 22, 1944. He preceded her in death on December 2,1993.She is survived by four sons and two daughters and their spouses: Charles and Velda Beams of Puerto Rico, Rita and Nolan Underwood, Terry and Sharon Beams, Alois and Johnny Phillips and Bobby and Carolyn Beams of Campbellsville and Brian and Sonia Beams of Taylorsville; twelve grandchildren: Trenton Beams of Florida, Karla Beams and Tammy Spencer of Tennessee, Beth Gannon of North Carolina, Tina Simpson of Georgetown, Dee Dee Phillips of Lexington, Sarah Beams of Taylorsville, Eric Phillips, Jennifer Ward, Casey Ennis, Trina McDavitt and Valerie Blue of Campbellsville; seventeen great-grandchildren: Bryanna and Allyson Gannon, Taylor, Clay, and Dalin Spencer, Blake and Hunter Simpson, Lydia Whitley, Lakeisha and Dalton Wilcoxson, Jacob, Jasmine and Jillian Ward, Lauren, Dylan, Aubrey, and Christian Blue; one brother and one sister, Russell Underwood of Buffalo and Mattie Cash of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Sue Beams August 1957, and three brothers and four sisters: Everett Underwood, Robert Underwood, Grant Underwood, Verna Fraze, Estelle Pepper, Gladys Gaddie, and Maude DeSpain.FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 7th, at the Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Bro. Mabelle Clare Bright of Deerfield Drive, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Rev. Leslie Thomas Wright and Eva Mae Brock Wright, was born August 3, 1921, in Nelson County, Kentucky. She died at 6:37 A.M., Wednesday, December 4, 2002, in Lexington.Age: 81She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for over fifty years and a choir member.She retired from Taylor County RECC after some 34 years of service.She united in marriage to Douglas Bright October 23, 1944. He preceded her in death October 25, 1997.She is survived by one son and his wife, Lloyd D. and Cindy Bright of Evansville, Indiana and one daughter and her husband, Elaine (Bobbi) and J.R. (Marion) Horn of Lexington; four grandchildren: Stuart Horn of Inez, Sonya Taylor and her husband, Andrew of Boulder, Colorado, and Starr Douglas Horn and Allen Douglas Bright of Lexington; two step-granddaughters: Amanda Burress and Heather Burress of Evansville, Indiana; one sister, Helen Kirtley of Johnson City, Tennessee; a special friend, Roy D. Margaret Sapp of Lincoln Avenue, Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Colvin and Florence Tandy Colvin was born June 13, 1912, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:34 P.M., Wednesday, December 4, 2002, in Campbellsville.Age: 90.She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Ira Sapp September 28, 1927. Joe Robert Pennington of Timothy Trail, Campbellsville, son of the late William Chester Pennington and Nellie E. Cole Pennington, was born in Filber, West Virginia, May 3, 1921. He died at 5:04 P.M., Monday, December 2, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 81He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.He was a retired Civil Service employee with the federal government.He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country in the United States Marines. He was a past master of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 FAM and a member of the Pitman Chapter # 157 Order of the Eastern Star.He united in marriage to Kathryn Dean July 18, 1942.
