Jessie Davis, 59

Jessie Lee Davis stepped into eternity December 18, 2018. He was born December 9, 1959 and had just celebrated his 59th birthday. His wife, Cathy, of 38 years and their daughter, Jacqueline, survives Jessie along with his sister, Brenda Orr, and husband Steve of Campbellsville. Jessie’s parents, Lee and Ruby Davis, and many aunts and uncles preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Campbellsville High School. The coworkers and customers on Interstate Auto Parts where he worked before moving to Lexington will fondly remember Jessie Davis. He will also be remembered for his passion for his motorcycle and distributing Bibles with the Christian Motorcycle Association along with his wife Cathy. Jessie was a Christian and a loving and dedicated father and husband as well as a friend to many.
Jessie chose to be cremated without a funeral service, but there will be a memorial service after the Christmas holidays.

William Clavis Wright, 43

Mr. William Clavis Wright of Greensburg passed from this life on Friday, December 21, 2018 in Louisville at the Baptist East Hospital. Born on May 22, 1975 to Ella (Taylor) Wright and the late Gary Clavis Wright, he was 43 years, 6 months, and 29 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Wright suffered many disabilities most of his life, yet he often found time to sing and loved playing music. He kept his mind sharp and was a competitive card player, and was an avid University of Louisville fan.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Wright on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM EST (1:00 PM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro Wayne Keith will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia Cemetery, Campbellsville St, Columbia, KY.

Edward Hunt, 89

Mr. William Edward “Eddie” Hunt of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his home. Born in Taylor County on December 26, 1928 to the late Milburn and Annie (Arvin) Hunt, he was 89 years, 11 months, and 26 days. He was a retired life insurance broker, and a former employee of the Fruit of the Loom plant and Kentucky Cooperage. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Geneva (Pierce) Hunt almost 67 years until her passing in 2017. Mr. Hunt had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He enjoyed collecting cans, and was a lifelong farmer. His home-grown sweet potatoes and watermelons were always top-notch, and a bountiful garden seemed to always be in his kitchen.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

Two children: Phyllis Sallee and husband Eddie, and David Hunt and special friend Kaye Hunt and her children, all of Campbellsville,

One sister: Gertrude Sprowles husband Winfrey of Campbellsville,

Two grandchildren: Samantha Arnold and husband Chad, and Andrea Clark and husband Jeremy,

Four great-grandchildren: Avery Arnold, Maddox Smith, Kinley Smith, and Caroline Smith,

And a host of other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by four siblings: Betty, Madeline, Kenneth, and Dale.

Mr. Hunt chose to be cremated. A memorial service to honor his life will be conducted on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 5:30 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Freddy Thompson will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:30 until time for the service.

Mrs. Sharon Rose McKee of Campbellsville passed from this life on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on September 28, 1944 to the late Frank and Mae (Shofner) Matherly, she was 74 years, 2 months, and 24 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. She was the beloved wife and homemaker to Mr. Herman McKee, who preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. McKee’s big heart that was full of generous love will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Two sons: Herman “Mac” McKee, II, and wife Lora Beth of Rockcastle County, and Stephen “Tony” McKee of Campbellsville,

Gail Clark, 57

Mrs. Gail Clark of Lebanon, daughter of the late Tracy and Lorene (Simpson) Arvin, was born on January 24, 1961. She departed this life on Thursday, December 20, 2018, being 57 years, 10 months, and 29 days of age. She was a former employee of the Springfield Redrying Plant and McDonalds Corporation, and was a homemaker. When she wasn’t babysitting her grandkids and could find a pleasant day, she was often outside enjoying the freedom of the road on a motorcycle.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

Four children: Dennis Knopp of Lebanon, Tasha Clark of Bardstown, Ashley Mejia and husband Jose of Lebanon, and Donna Wright and husband Tyler of Lebanon,

A friend and former spouse: Charles M. “Peanut” Clark of Springfield,

One brother: Jeffery Arvin of Tennessee,

Four grandchildren: Jake Hardin, Kailyn Smith, Mary Mejia, and Jose Mejia, III,

And a host of other friends and family.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tracy Arvin, Jr., and a grandson, Brantley Hardin.
