Weldon Shreve, 63

Mr. Weldon Wonless “Buddy” Shreve of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset after a lengthy illness. Born on June 22, 1955 to the late Bryan and Nancy Gay (Lawson) Shreve, he was 63 years, 3 months, and 15 days of age. Mr. Shreve was a former employee of Union Underwear and a sawmill worker, but spent most of his leisure time fishing or playing with grandchildren.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

Two children: Joyce Ann Shreve of Edmonton, and Anthony Shreve of Campbellsville,

Two sisters: Mable Perkins of Elkhorn, and Liz Wethington of Campbellsville,

A half sister: Mary Elizabeth Miller and husband John Paul of Florida,

Five grandchildren: Kaitlyn Graham, Courtney Graham, Bryan Shreve, Sierra Shreve, and Carli Shreve,

And a host of nieces, Nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

There will be a memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Shreve on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville. To fulfill his last wishes, cremation will be accorded him and his ashes will be laid to rest in the Jones Chapel Cemetery, Hwy 1752, Taylor County, KY.

The family will receive friends friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Oct 13, from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

Eva Holstin, 66

Eva Dean Holstin of Greensburg, the daughter of the late John Ed and Mazetta (Lile) Meadows, was born Monday, September 1, 1952 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Louisville at the Norton Hospital. She was 66 years and 29 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sulphur Well. She was a former CNA and a homemaker.
She united in marriage to Ronald “Ronnie” Holstin, who preceded her in death on November 15, 2014.
Survivors include a half-sister: Rose Smith and husband Clifton of Glasgow and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service for Eva Dean Holstin will be conducted Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. CST at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Green County with burial to follow.
William L. Trout will be officiating.
Family requests visitation after 12 Noon CST on Tuesday at the Bethlehem Baptist Church.

James Anthony “Tony” Knott, 38

Mr. James Anthony “Tony” Knott of Campbellsville was born on January 8, 1980 in Louisville. He departed this life on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at his home, being 38 years, 8 months, and 19 days of age. Mr. Knott had battled several health issues most of his life, but he never let them slow his love for his family and friends. He loved spending time with those closest to him, and enjoyed the outdoors whenever possible.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
His fiancée: April O’Neill of Campbellsville,
Five chosen children: Kristopher Releford, Sierra Releford, Jacob Releford, Payton Releford, and Jonathan Releford, all of Campbellsville,
A close cousin: Sarah Knott of Louisville,
A cousin he loved as a niece: Ali Knott, and a host of extended family and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Kathleen Knott, and his grandmother, Francis Louise Cobb Knott.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Knott on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Mr. Knott’s request to be cremated will be accorded him after the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 29, after 10:00 AM until time for the service.

Norman Watson, 63

Norman Douglas Watson, the son of Margaret (Herron) Fawcett of Campbellsville and the late Raymond Douglas Watson, was born Tuesday, January 11, 1955 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Lebanon at the Springview Hospital.
He was 63 years, 8 months and 10 days of age.
He had made a profession of Faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. He was an automobile mechanic by trade and enjoyed going to Peddlers Mall and Dirt Track Racing, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister: Janet Pickett.
Norman is survived by his mother: Margaret (Herron) Fawcett of Campbellsville; a daughter: Tiffany Bright and fiance’ Cory Smith of Lebanon; a sister: Lisa Tucker and husband Tony of Campbellsville; his longtime companion: Fran Bright of Lebanon; two grandchildren: Kenden Lee Bright and Easton Cole Smith and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Norman Douglas Watson will be Monday, September 24, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Jason Keltner will be officiating.
Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Carroll Rafferty, 75

Mr. Carroll Rafferty, the son of the late Benjamin Anderson and Mary Helen (Whited) Rafferty, was born Friday, June 25, 1943 in Taylor County and departed this life on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at his home in the Black Gnat Community of Taylor County. He was 75 years, 2 months and 26 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Temple.
He was a former owner and operator of Sunoco and Texaco gas stations in Taylor County which offered 24 hr wrecker service and later became a security guard with Taylor Regional Hospital.
Carroll enjoyed watching western movies and the news channel, but raising animals, especially his goats was his primary enjoyment until his health would not allow him.
He leaves to mourn his death: Survivors include his wife: Bettye Underwood Rafferty of Campbellsville; two daughters: Sherry Rafferty-Browning and husband Brian of Lebanon, Amanda Hall and husband Richard of Campbellsville; a son: Jeff Rafferty and companion Sue Sluder of Campbellsville; four step-children: Martina Marshall of Campbellsville, Paula Dytzel and husband Eric of Nashville, Joseph Brown and wife Anita of Illinois and Monica Levi and companion Ron Levi of California; three sisters: Mary Nell Cox, Juanita Ford and husband Donald and Linda Winfrey all of Campbellsville.
Also eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Barbara Fitzgerald.
The funeral service for Mr. Carroll Rafferty will be Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with entombment in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Dr. Brian Rafferty and Bro. Jim Durham officiating.
